You call him a name that only a Cure fan would recognize, but if you were a Cure fan, you'd be more tolerant...I probably don't need to address what you said because most Cure fans would never have an issue with Pearl's choices in clothing, so I'll just say you're not the usual Cure kind.

I saw the Kiss Me tour in Seattle. My first Cure tape was Head on the Door. I was hooked. I remember buying the Kiss Me tape and “cassingles” for the b sides like Breathe and A Chain of Flowers. Always nice to connect with other Cure fans.

Yeah, Head on the Door and Kiss Me are undeniably good. There's just something about their music that Cure fans "get." It's so unique, so artistic, so beautiful. I first heard them when I was 8. My older sister had Standing on A Beach, and some other tapes friends had recorded for her. My first favorite Cure songs were Lovecats, The Caterpillar, and Boys Don't Cry. By the time Wish came out and the radio started to play the songs from it, that's when I got obsessed. My sister liked them in a casual way, but I loved them to point of loyalty and devotion. When I see The Cure in concert, I feel a connection with Robert Smith. It's very healing.

This time around, there aren't many shows that have standing room, so I had to buy real seats. I'll be pretty close at the one show I was able to get good seats at, hopefully close enough to catch some unique footage. Are you going to any shows?

I think you mean Reeves Gabrels? He doesn't seem to "fit in" with The Cure's image, but obviously that doesn't bother Robert Smith. He seems to really like Reeves being a part of The Cure, so I think most Cure fans accept him because of that. He's David Bowie's former guitarist, and he's actually very nice and interactive with fans.
