They have thousands of these in junkyard so parts are somewhat cheap. Seen a base for 2,800$ real clean, not sure what’s wrong with it but we’ll see

Required Part/Tools Car jack SAE 5W-20 or SAE 5W-30 Oil Filter Oil Filter Wrench Oil Pan 10mm wrench 17mm wrench Maintenance Steps Jack up passenger side Place down cardboard for spills/easy cleanup Remove (7) 10mm bolts to access oil maintenance section Place oil pan under and remove (1) 17mm oil plug bolt Remove Oil Filter with filter wrench Glug some oil in the filter and lube the rim Install new oil filter. Hand tighten then tighten 1/4 turn more Fill up with new oil - 5.07 quarts (4.8 liters)

I have an E320 CDi with the granite like OM648 i6, very basic car, no air bag suspension, no sunroof, no complex Hardon stereo/sat nav, not as refined as it's later 3.0 V6 Cdi cousin but it will still be rolling coal long after the V6 is recycled into Coke cans. The only downside is I'm stuck with that awful SBC braking system unlike the facelift. (In the UK so no 25 year MB warranty)

Mine doesn't open completely (i cleaned the track) and tried this but tilt is still close & close is still tilt 😤 I'm going to try again but my mechanic recommended the dealer to reset it. I went the whole summer with this i can't have another one like this 😢
