God bless and rest Brit Turner and God bless Blackberry Smoke. I went to a Homecoming show at the Tabernacle about 9 years ago and met Brandon and Paul at Ted Turners restaurant next door and they were so welcoming to me as a fan and just truly nice people

This was a beautiful documentary. I was exceedingly mad at Margaret for not wanting to sit with a black student, but she redeemed herself remarkably with the funding of medical students from Morehouse College, which was done anonymously. Thank you Margaret, clearly your legacy will live on in Gone with the Wind, but for me it will live on in the funding that you gave to those less fortunate. Thank you also to Benjamin Mays for his bravery in asking. Sleep well Margaret, you have been gone 75 years now. (26/09/24)

The destiny connected with this anglo saxon race, your British blood, have committed atrocities on both sides of the Atlantic that if nations could be personified, the United states and England ought to hang their head in shame and cry scalding tears of repentance! And if the Anglo saxons, your American and British blood, think they have a destiny other than this, than raising up races or nations, spreading Christianity, or administering just and fair laws, and they believe to have the right to stomp under the hooves every Indian, black, and dark browed Mexican, like Xerxes to lay waste the fairest countries, or Caesar with his return to Rome with the spoils of vanquished kingdoms, let them beware before they stumble upon the thick bosses and bucklers of god who have already drank up the blood of the worlds finest conquerors and nations! We may hug the delusive phantom we are “a species of Israelites” amongst peoples and nations, but let them remember too Israel did not escape the fiery pit and retribution from god for all its transgressions and back-slidings! We had already done a good deal of discredit to our great name by our violation of the Indians, our slavery, and repudiation of state debts, but this attack on Mexico, a weaker nation and neighboring republic is filling the cup of wrong, see says the monarchists and aristocrat, your boasted government of the people can do as evil and cruel things as if ever done by the kaisers and kings of the old world ! It is the same game of ambition , sugar it over with as many fair names as you please! If a nation expends all its earthly treasures , one that might raise the lever that benefits the earth, in the butchery of war, in the attack of the weaker and unoffending, in careers of conquest, what right does it have to be called a Christian nation? It’ has none, it is a heathen people in a Christian cloak. We may cry lord lord but the use of holy words will not save the workers of iniquity from the judgment of the almighty god. -war with Mexico reviewed, Abiel Livermore American Peace Society 1850

PFC Keney didn't go through all his decorations but I believe they are from top to bottom, left to right: Combat Infantryman Badge Combat Service Commemorative Medal WWII Disabled Veterans Commemorative Medal WWII 60th Anniversary Commemorative Medal Army of Occupation Medal World War II Victory Medal European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 3 Service Stars American Campaign Medal Army Good Conduct Medal Bronze Star Army Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with rifle, Thompson submachine gun, Browning automatic rifle, pistol, and grenade clasps (it looks like he has a 6th clasp but didn't mention what it was) and on the right side of his jacket Presidential Unit Citation with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster Infantry Shoulder Cord I think at some point, his ribbons were put on his jacket in reverse order because his Bronze Star has top precedence and the campaign ribbons should come before the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal should come after. As non-government commemorative medals, I don't know where the first 3 should be placed.

Hi Tom . Elizabeth Schurwan from St. Louis USA. Huge Keane fan, also fan of all of you individually as well as groups of you (ie Mt Desolation). I discovered Keane about 8 years ago because of a local college station. I was very disappointed to miss the 2020 concert and I just saw you in Nashville. Love and best wishes to all 4 of you. Thank you for Cause and Effect - a Masterpiece! And the songs you don’t play much in concert- the Starting Line, Clear Skies and many others.

I understand they wanted to end the war but if the confederates had done that that what was done in Atalanta or Georgia the north would have cried like little bitches plus the union army and nation can blame the southerner's of starting the war but it only lasted that long because of union generals been far too cautious when they out numbered the confederates in most of there battles had total control of the seas and rivers due to a massive navy and had a massive industrial base

Columbus is no more dangerous than any other city of comparable size in Georgia. Everybody that says this place is too dangerous or crime infested has no idea what they are talking about. We are quite literally at normal crime rate levels for the size of city we have. Not to mention just a week ago over $250,000,000 in drugs were seized and 101 arrests were made. So I’m sure that will make it even better

Correct. Everyone should have the right to live a peaceful, happy life. Any religion or movement or Country that promotes the alienation or destruction of others (if those others are peaceful and happy to coexist with like-minded souls), deserves to be actively stopped.

I say unto these ladies, as I would to someone who served in the military " Thank you for your service". However, most people in the military serve willingly; these young innocent girls were forcibly held against their will. Such a gross miscarriage of justice! They deserve reparations from the state of Georgia. This trauma will be with them forever. I hope after all these years they have found peace and some form of normalcy in their lives. God bless them.❤🙏🏿🙏🏿

@marniusvanderlubbe

I live in Texas and it was literally like 85 degrees for good parts of December last year. That ain't normal and you can believe whatever you want but ice caps are melting faster than ever in recorded history and ocean levels rise dramatically every single year. Forget about the insane amounts of waste we leave on the earth and ocean we absolutely have an affect on the environment more than any living thing ever has on this planet and to think otherwise is simply wilful ignorance. Just look at chernobyl and fukushima

@@Annie.747You really think huge billion dollar oil Corporations don't spend tons of money on misinformation to get people to believe it's not a real problem? Just please explain to me why you think spewing black stuff in the air for more than 100 years and increasingly more and more every year will have no effect on the environment? Who is more likely to lie almost all climate scientists or oil corporations who's entire existence is predicated on people not believing in climate change?
@dcs5343
@dcs5343 8 күн бұрын
@@marniusvanderlubbeand it was chilly during April of this year in the South. There typically are warm days in December. That's been the joke since as long as I can remember; cold one day and hot the next.. Climate changes, that's just a fact of nature and it always has. Making a big deal over it is due to it being a multi billion dollar machine that easily gets certain people riled up. Would you buy ocean front property if Ocean levels are rising so rapidly? Bc the elites who keep the hype going are not concerned enough to stop buying beach from mansions. I think the waste dumped in the oceans is far more of an issue that the climate but that is not discussed nearly as much.
