I get what you're trying to say and do here. But our entire society is structured around people, NOT doing what you're saying. Most people are awful, and we should be teaching them and ourselves to be better, not being rewarded for being, most often, a mediocre person. To challenge oneself instead of being complacent because you're constantly telling yourself, "This is me, so this is good" You know who i am? I am lazy, complacent, sometimes angry, sometimes petty, often kind. Not all these traits are good, and i have had to work a lot to figure these out and fight against my nature to improve myself. Constantly reinforcing "this is you, so this is good" is a recipe for disaster where identity becomes paramount to any other personal characteristics or changes. This is a wonderful point of view, and i appreciate it, i just dont think this is based in objective reality. Just my opinion, i could be wrong.
