that’s exactly what happened. cardan’s connection to the land allowed him to fight against madoc’s soldiers. he tried to stop them from taking jude. madoc himself even tells her at the camp that “half his army never made it out. the doorways and their paths were blocked, they were strangled” etc. also not many people made the connection but with all this he’s telling her he lost half his army. meaning they died. meaning cardan “my only virtue is im not a killer” killed for the first time…and a whole bunch of people…JUST to try and save her. my heart😭😭😭

Sort of spoilery content ahead: They say that in the Queen of Nothing, when Madoc launched an attack against the palace to get "Taryn" (aka Jude acting as Taryn) out of there, the very roots of the palace fought to keep her there. Most likely due to Cardan or Jude's influence over the land, but I like to think it was Cardan's influence as High King that fought to keep her with him now that he finally had her back.

I think this one is my favorite so far out of all the ones I've listened to. I keep finding myself wanting to come back to this particular video.

This is by far the best soundtrack when reading the Fourth Wing series or any fantasy series in general like Throne of Glass. It has great pacing and the dynamic of music goes absolutely perfect with the book. It’s the only one that has genuinely made me feel within the book. No crazy loud or over romanticized soundtracks. It makes you feel the weight of each word, as if you were one of them. 🖤📚🩶
