Dublin is litter strewn, has dirty streets and invaded by drunk or drug crazed morons who urinate against the concrete and glass monstrosities' The pubs and restaurants overcharge for their food and drink, Temple bar pint of Guinness 9 euro fifty cents Pickpockets abound and there are armies of thieves roaming the streets with not one Garda to be seen, probably in MacDonalds scrounging free Big Mac and drinks. Not worth a visit that's for sure.

One on the thing's I remember from my youth, the blackouts. During the winter time the ESB cut power to whole areas on the north side, Dublin 7, 2, 1 we're always getting cut. We never knew why. 😊☘️

My Grandad was fond of a drink in the Stags Head, he died in 1971 before I was born, I had many a drinking session in there as well and not forgetting Keogh's, Grogan's, The International and The Long Hall between the early 90's - late 2010's, good old Dublin boozers' 🤠

Wonderful pieces of film. One piece of misinformation which needs addressing - Wellington never said "Just because you are born in a stable does not make you a horse". It is an urban myth and unfair on the great man and leader. In fact, it was said about him by Daniel O'Connell in a court case. Wellington was as Irish as the next man, I contend.

If t was amazing back then how the thick Irish people licked the ass off the politicians while they were living the high life while children were being murdered and abused and they didn't give a shit because there wasn't a man amongst them they were afraid of the abusers and murderer's in the Catholic church, Fianna Fail. Fine Gael, Labour, are still the same as the scum we have had for years,🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

My favourite was the Denny's neon sign on Westmoreland street which showed a man tossing a sausage in a frying pan (animated). It was directly opposite our bus stop so it kept me amused as a child while we waited for our bus.

The Barman skimming the froth of a pint of Liquid Black Gold brings back memories. I used to go Fishing in Ireland, years ago. We always stopped, for a pint or two,at a bar in Belturbet. Cavan, called the Cosy Bar. It was run by a real friendly Gentleman called Phil. I hope it`s still there. I would love to pay anther visit and see if its changed. God Bless Ireland.
