Berrymans B-12 is the best. These 1.5s will go forever if treated well. I change oil every 3000 miles and do what you just did but used the Berrymans B-12. Went from a quart every 300 miles to a quart every 3000 miles with compression of 165 in all 4 cyl. Engine has 258,000 miles.

I just use a white paint pen use a dabbing technique and just let it dry then go back over the letters to fix the opaqueness that way its solid & crisp if you lay down too much on the first coat its more likely to crack or fade away if you want it to last take your time and just layer each letter about 3-4 times for even coverage

Maybe, clamp the hoses off before removing them so they won't leak allover everything.
