Look up rockhounding spots near calico. The Mojave Desert is jam packed with amazing rocks and minerals.

They are natural if you ever touched a mine in your life you would see them with sharp edges. Amethyst are a great example of sharp edges.

There's a mountain in southern Arizona, it looks like it's floating, and whenever it rains there's always a million garnets at the base of it. I found one that was perfectly cut like a million dollar gem.
