Yes, I like the tank over the cardigan but in a finer gauge for sure. It would be great if the over, over sized trend would end. It will more me personally because I feel like wearing something different.

I will add another small tip for reset if you don't mind. Create something whimsical, a silly hat, a stuffie, a funny ornament or token, a fish bag! A small investment of time and scrap yarn to get the juices flowing again and step out of the serious zone, play with color, the absurd and quirky. It really does the soul good. I am type A and this has been so helpful to me!

I am halfway through your video whilst commenting this, but have you heard of Schiaparelli? I think you'd like looking through the history of their knitwear. They had sewing and knitting patterns, one of the more famous designs was the bow knot sweater, which you can find a pattern of. The sweaters were hand knit, lightweight and had very fun simple colourwork. You've probably seen some before.
@Heidy07317 күн бұрын
Very fine knit is hard to achieve by hand beacuse it involves just so much more knitting for a piece of sweater... there's definitely a reason we knitters are more acutios about very fine knits

There’s a few free designs from Hobbii that I think fall into a few of these categories! The ribbed harmony top, meadow sunset wrap, paris light sweater, springlicious sweater, and some of their ponchos are ones i’m personally interested in making this year. and most of them are free (as far as I could see they’re not incredibly size inclusive on a whole but a great place to start looking at silhouettes and such)

You should check out Starcrossed Knits! A lot of her patterns have the vibes you were describing. I test knitted the Deuxieme Cardigan last year, which is an all over 2x2 rib cardigan with dramatic bust/waist shaping to make it very form fitting. She also has a cardigan/pullover in testing right now with a medieval unicorn tapestry motif. Her style aligns with a lot of the trends you talked about here.

honestly I'm not sure how seriously I can take any of your knitwear opinions if you call two colour brioche "ribbing", if you call garter stitch "stockinette", and if you call the colourwork in those patagonia sweaters you showed "so, so complex"

@@elm33 I'm not judging anyone for not knowing things, and I don't pretend like I know everything about knitting or fashion - that's why I don't make videos predicting trends. or if I did, I'd at least make sure I got the terminology right. that's the baseline of competency I would expect from such a video

@@elm33 I'm honestly amazed at how personally you're taking this. I made a comment that was maybe a bit meaner than necessary, and here you are writing essays and being even more rude than you thought my comment was
@elm3311 күн бұрын
Fair enough, I was trying to give actionable advice because I am always confused by rude commenters, I don’t like seeing rudeness in a smaller creator’s comments because it’s obviously more visible not only to the creator but also other viewers, who might be put off engaging with a new hobby. But I’ll delete them since you think they’re mean and I don’t want to do the same thing I’m perceiving you as doing 😂

@@eebiebeebie I’m certainly not a professional in any capacity- this channel is just meant to be a place for me to share things that inspire me in hopes that they might inspire others too. Please be careful with natural stones jewellery as some may be hazardous like the so called "zebra jasper" which is actually chrysotile asbestos. Many sellers don't even know what they're selling so it's best to google what it looks like and avoid similar looking stones.
