what ingredientes are needed for this experiment and how can we get it to “explode” that big ?????

I really don't know a lot about pageants, but I've spent most of my professional life as a zoo educator, where a bulk of my work was taking a concept and breaking it down to make it simple AND entertaining in a quick dose for an audience who might have absolutely zero pre-existing knowledge of the subject matter. To take that kind of demonstration and apply it to a 90-second presentation is so commendable, and I'm sure none of her competitors had an act that stood out this much. Anyone who doesn't understand the place and purpose of this type of presentation is, IMO, being willfully ignorant in a way that anyone who loves science should honestly feel ashamed for.

I would have liked to see an impassioned and enraged Camille taking the entire event hostage under threat of a fusion explosion for the Pageant's history of belittling and objectifying women.
@georgerobbins31983 жыл бұрын
Guess what, nobody forced any of these women to compete. Shouldn't a woman have the right to be in a pageant of they wish to do so? I don't believe you even watched the show. It was all talk and talent, no swimsuit or gown competition, which is why it is dying.

Wow you did a 2nd grade science experiment. Go back to being a beauty show
@cheryls23133 жыл бұрын
No, she did a demonstration that even university professors have difficulty recreating and contact her to discuss what concentration of solute she’s using to get the reaction. And she’s a dual degree science major completing a graduate degree. You might try the scientific method and ask questions about what was being used before assuming you know it all. The reaction can be done many different ways...some safely at home and in elementary schools. This reaction used caustic chemical concentrations that would never be given to a second grade student. Many young people, especially young girls, have been inspired this year to see a woman like Camille in the role of Miss America. I’m sorry you want to reduce women back to beauty objects but we won’t go back there.

@@cheryls2313 This demonstration? it's elephant toothpaste I had to watch this for my chemistry homework or somthing when I posted that comment. it isn't that impressive. oh yeah and I don't think women are "beauty objects" idk where you got that from

thank you Camille, you are an example for all of us! I was counting on my fingers after you said 'just three things water(1) , oxgen(2), gas(3) and heat (4). Awesomeness how even casually you distinguished energy as #4 so as to elegantly emphasize the difference between total energy of molecular motion in a substance (4) and the substance itself (1), (2) and (3).
