I just love Pork Andy... But i'm not convinced about bothering with the Pickled Onion Rub though my friend... But i realise that it was just an experiment... I'd have been tempted to cut that 2Kg Joint of Pork into two pieces... One for the experiment... And one for your Sunday Roast Dinner... 😋 I like everything else on the plate too... But whenever i see a Joint of Pork... My mind immediately goes to a Sunday Roast Dinner with all the trimmings mate... Like... Petit Pois Peas... Broccoli... Cauliflower... Carrots... Sprouts... Roast Potatoes... Sage & Onion Stuffing... Mashed Potatoes... Yorkshire Pudding... Gravy... 😋 Now i'm actually making myself hungry!... 😂 It was worth giving it a try though Andy... You never know... It could've tasted amazing in the end pal... But i'll definitely be sticking with my preferred traditional Sunday Roast Dinner... 😋👌 Anyway Andy... Please could you give my kindest regards to your good lady wife and family... And could you also please give my best wishes to Bob too pal... Many thanks for the video my friend... It's very much appreciated... Enjoy the rest of your weekend mate... All the very best... Cheers Andy. 🍺

@@rickb3645 Hi Rick. Sorry for the late reply. It's been a manic day helping my kids. I've been on the go non stop since 4am and only just stopped now. Not had time to do next weeks vid and I have a busy day tomorrow so I'm going to try my best to make it on Monday after work. The hard part is hoping Bob gets a chance to edit it. 🤞 There will be one next week if not, So don't panic I'll be back the following week. 😊 Pork and chicken are my favourite meats (well venison is top but very expensive) I'll have pork any way going. I like it with chips mostly but a roast is a big yes too. As it happens the experiment worked. The after taste of the onion was great but it had also changed with the taste of the pork and was a good combo. All the best to you from me and I'm sure everyone else ( not had a chance to speak to anyone 🤣 ) wife's asleep and not spoken to Bob today. Have a fantastic weekend bud 🥃🍺

That looked delicious Andy... Chicken Thighs are my favourite pal... I've never understood peoples obsession with buying Chicken Wings... As there's very little meat on any of them... They're mostly bone cartilage and skin... Why on earth would people buy them!... Just to end up throwing most of the Chicken Wings away anyway... It's almost the same thing with Chicken Drumsticks too pal... There's very little Chicken on them... Which is why i never had them whenever i visited my local SFC Takeaway (Southern Fried Chicken)... I always asked them for their Chicken Thigh Pieces instead... 😋🍗 I know it's a silly question Andy... But when you started Marinading your Chicken Thighs... Why didn't you place your Chicken Pieces in the Roasting Bag first?. 😉 Then simply pour in your Teriyaki Marinade... And massage the Marinade into the Chicken Pieces through the plastic Roasting Bag... Before putting it in the fridge to Marinade for an hour... 👌 After an hour in the fridge... You could've simply placed the Roasting Bag straight in the Air Fryer Basket... For the first half hour of cooking... But you still managed to make it work in the end pal... Anyway my friend... (Good on-ya Bob!)... 👍 There was no way that this was going to work my friend... Way too much wet ingredients went in the slow cooker... It was always going to be a sloppy mess i'm afraid... But if you were to have formed them into an individual Burger Patty sized form... And cooked them on your Teppanyaki grill... I'm sure that they might have firmed up a lot more... But your experiment did remind me of one of my favourite foods... And that's the delicious tasting German Frikadellen Patties... If you've never heard of them before... They look like a thicker version of a Beef Burger Patty... But they're beautifully spiced and seasoned. Once made... They're pan fried in oil and can be served hot... Or they can be left to cool on a plate... Before being refrigerated... Where they're eaten cold as a snack in the evening with a Cold Beer... They're made in a very similar way to what you tried here pal... I'll put a link to a video showing you how to make them Andy... And maybe one week when you've grabbed yourself the ingredients... 😂 The knocking over of the bullet blender once you'd filled it was hysterical my friend... 😂 It gave me a chuckle watching you trying to save your Marinade pal... It even wobbled when you added in the Red Wine Vinegar... Sadly it wasn't worth the effort in the end Andy... As nothing really transferred into the Chicken Drumsticks overnight in the fridge... There are some very good jars of ready made Jerk Marinade these days... Dunn's River Jamaican Jerk Seasoning Chicken Marinade 300g for £2.50 from Sainsbury's... Or you can buy it using Nectar Points for just £2.00 per jar... Some speciality stores will also stock the famous Walkerswood Traditional Jamaican Jerk Seasoning Paste (Hot & Spicy)... It can also be purchased from (Fleabay and Hammerzon) as well mate... ( I've had to change the names of these two... As i can't post their names here)... But if i were making my own Jerk Marinade... I would probably have added in some of my own Levi Roots Reggae Reggae Jerk BBQ Sauce that's already sat in my kitchen cupboard... 😋 I'm having the Asda Hot & Spicy Chicken Breast Fillet Burgers again tonight pal... They have a medium spice to them. But if i need more of a spicy heat kick... I can always add on some Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wings Sauce... 😋 Just a very quick tip too Andy... Once you had chopped up your fresh Parsley... Instead of turning the chopping board on it's side to get the Parsley into the small bowl... Simply cover the small pile of chopped Parsley with the upturned bowl over it... And hold down the bowl firmly and turn the chopping board and the bowl over together... And all of the chopped Parsley will just drop down into the small bowl... As i noticed that you missed the bowl with some of the chopped Parsley when you transferred it into the bowl... But i guess that after the bullet blender incident... It wasn't all that bad i suppose mate... 😂 But at least the Garlic Mushrooms and pan fried halved Potatoes looked very nice pal... Have you ever tried Lockwoods Cook & Serve Mushy Peas before pal?... If not... I highly recommend giving them a try... They're available from Iceland... And then simmer for about 25 minutes... If the Mushy Peas thicken up too much... Just add a little hot water to thin them out again... Until you're happy with the thickness for your own personal preference... There's no comparison to the tinned Mushy Peas pal... Including the brand leader Batchelors Mushy Peas... I went down a rabbit hole of trying to get the best roast chicken. 😂I don't really understand using the airfryer if you aren't going for crispy skin, if that's the plan then why don't you slow cook in the airfryer? The problem with wet brining is how soggy it makes the skin, you could cook without the bag and use a low temp of say 90C for 4 or 5 hours until the chicken temps correctly - this is a long slow exposure to dry air, which would be awesome. If I was going to have a crack at this - I'd brine it, then use your fingers to loosen/separate from body as much skin as possible(this helps the steam and fat escape, they prevent crisping) Put in the sink and pour boiling water from a full kettle all over it for 30 seconds until the skin goes white and tensioned, then leave at least overnight, preferably 3 days uncovered in the fridge. Give it a light dose of olive oil and salt for the skin, put in the air fryer, off the bottom, on low until it's cooked. Take the chicken out, let it rest completely. While that's happening heat the basket to maximum temp with a bit of oil, maybe put a bit more oil on the chicken, and throw in the AF for 5 -7 mins, turning once if you want, so you get that skin crisp. This could be an interesting recipe lol. 🤣

Hi. Wow thanks for that, I will have to give it a try sometime in the future. To be honest I'm not a lover of crispy skin, I want to find the fastest way to have a moist succulent chicken 🤣. When I do it without the roasting bag it comes out crisp + dryer so perhaps worth trying cooking 90% in a roasting bag then taking out and blitzing it for the remainder of the time, this might give a crisp skin. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to contact me. Have a fantastic week 😊🍺☕

I love my egg cooker, I use it all the time, it's so much cheaper and easier then doing them on the oven. I can cook 6 eggs so some for a meal and the others ready for egg sandwiches for work. I love picked eggs to bud. Best thing is get some pickling vinegar cook up 15 eggs put the jar in the sink and chuck the eggs in 🤣. Funnily enough Andy... I'm having Roast Chicken Thighs later on mate... I was supposed to have them last night as they were on their last day to be used up... But i'd forgotten that i'd also left a Large Bag of Cold Water Prawns to defrost overnight in the fridge... After my Asda online shopping was delivered on Thursday afternoon... But because i obviously didn't want to waste my £5 bag of Prawns... I had them yesterday instead... So although the Ready Cooked Chicken Thighs had a use by date of the 19th July... They'll be perfectly fine to have them today instead... I actually bought them last week... But on the day when i had planned to have them... I just didn't have much of an appetite... As the weather had turned quite warm... And all i really wanted to do all day... Was drink to rehydrate... Rather than eating anything on that day. But you managed to successfully Roast your Chicken in the Enamel Roasting Pan pal... Halfway through Roasting the Chicken or any other meat for that matter... My mother would always remove the lid... And add Potatoes into the pan to make her own delicious tasting Roast Potatoes... 😋 And i can understand your wife's reluctance in Roasting a Chicken in the Air Fryer... It looked like a decent sized large Chicken you had there pal... And unless you have access to a really large Air Fryer... You'll be struggling to fit a Chicken of that size in... I really hope that Bob's having a lot of fun in the sun on his holiday's mate... Please could you also give my kindest regards to your good lady wife (her thumb) and your family too pal... 👍 Many thanks for the video Andy... It's very much appreciated my friend... Hi Rick. I can't blame you for having the prawns first 😋. Yea yr chicken thighs will be perfectly fine, one extra day is no prob. The chicken was a 1.6kg Sainsbury's medium chicken. I can get the Sainsbury's large 1.9kg chicken in my air fryer and it is my favourite way to cook them. I tried talking my wife into appearing on camera but no luck so the best I could manage was a thumb 🤣. Bob and his wife had a nice relaxing holiday on a narrow boat. Oh great news, I finally managed to get the Asda salted caramel ice-cream and my wife says it's the best. She sends her thanks to you for telling us about it. I did go with my dad to visit Joe Scarborough in his house one day... When i was about eight... In the years following that visit... He had bought and relocated to his new Narrow Boat... But i'm so glad to hear that Bob and his wife had a really relaxing Narrow Boat holiday... Oh dear Andy... Your runny Bolognese Sauce should've been much thicker mate... If you're genuinely interested in making a Spicy Spaghetti Bolognese... I have my own version you can have if you like... It's incredibly easy to make too my friend... And i always do a large batch in one go... And freeze the rest in sealed plastic Tupperware Boxes... You will need the following ingredients my friend. Lean Minced Beef Pack 750g. 1 Jar of Dolmio Chunky Mushroom Sauce for Bolognese 675g. 2 400g Tins of Chopped Tomatoes. 1 400g Tin of Baked Beans. 200ml Cold Water. 3 OXO Cubes. 1 Knorr Beef Stock Pot. 7 Tablespoons of Goldenfry Beef Gravy Granules Thickener. 2 Teaspoons of Celery Salt. 2 Teaspoons of Cayenne Pepper. 2 Teaspoons of Garlic Salt. 2 Teaspoons of Onion Powder. 5 Teaspoons of Tabasco Red Pepper Hot Sauce. 3 Teaspoons of Colman's English Mustard Powder. 3 Tablespoons of HP Sauce. 3 Tablespoons of Heinz Tomato Ketchup. 2 Teaspoons of Tomato Purée. 1 Tablespoon of Salt. 1 Teaspoon of Ground Black Pepper. 3 Teaspoons of Worcester Sauce or Henderson's Relish. In making such a large batch of Spaghetti Bolognese... You'll need to use a Pressure Cooker without the lid of course... This will act as a very large Saucepan to make it in. Firstly empty the Lean Minced Beef into the Pressure Cooker... Put it on the hob at a high heat... And break down the Lean Minced Beef with a wooden spoon... Once it's all been broken down and starts to brown... Add in 200ml of Cold Water... This stops the Minced Beef from catching on the bottom of the pan... Then add in the following ingredients. 3 OXO Cubes. 1 Knorr Beef Stock Pot. Mix these ingredients in thoroughly with the Minced Beef and Water already in the pan... Then add in the following ingredients... 1 Jar of Dolmio Chunky Mushroom Sauce for Bolognese 675g. 2 400g Tins of Chopped Tomatoes. 1 400g Tin of Baked Beans. Mix these ingredients in thoroughly as well... And leave it on a high heat until it starts to simmer... You'll notice a very slight film of fat on the surface... This is from the Minced Beef as it starts to come to the boil... But don't worry about it though... This is perfectly normal... Once it comes to the boil... Then gradually add in... The 7 Tablespoons of Goldenfry Beef Gravy Granules Thickener... Firstly start off with just 3 Tablespoons of Gravy Granules... And mix those in thoroughly to thicken your Bolognese Sauce... This will add a nice glossy sheen to your Bolognese Sauce... And the fat on the surface will then be reabsorbed as it thickens up... Then depending on how thick you like your Bolognese Sauce to be... You can then gradually add in the rest of your Gravy Granules Thickener... Until you find just the right thickness for your own personal taste... But mine is usually 7 Tablespoons. Once it's thick enough for you... Turn off the heat and move the pan to a cold hob ring... Where it will remain hot for over thirty minutes in the huge pan... Then Boil a full kettle of water for cooking your Spaghetti... Pour the boiling water into a large saucepan... And add a sprinkling of Salt... And a very small splash of Olive Oil to prevent your Spaghetti from sticking together... Then add in your Spaghetti to the water and let it gently simmer until it's cooked to your liking... We normally use Metal Balti Dishes to serve our Spaghetti Bolognese in... As it retains the heat much better than when it's on a regular dinner plate... Place the desired amount of Spaghetti you want into your Balti Dish... Then add in roughly 4 ladles of Bolognese Sauce over the top and mix it into your Spaghetti... If you like Parmesan Cheese... You can then add on a few Parmesan shavings or Parmesan powder yourself. Grab a fork and spoon and tuck in... Once the rest of the Bolognese has had time to cool off... Decant about four ladles per person into a sealed Tupperware style plastic containers... And lay them flat in your freezer... All you have to do then... Is if you want to have Bolognese the following day... Simply take out of your freezer... One of the a plastic containers of Bolognese... And place it on the bottom shelf of your fridge to slowly defrost overnight... As it defrosts... You'll notice a watery brown liquid on top... This is perfectly normal Andy... When you're ready to reheat your Bolognese... Just empty the entire contents into a saucepan... Stir the Bolognese Sauce as you gently heat it through... And then as before... Make your Spaghetti... The amount you'll make in the Pressure cooker will make two people 5 meals... So you'll need room for at least 4 sealed plastic containers of Bolognese... So just be aware mate. Anyway Andy... This has been a long comment today mate... So i'm sorry about that pal... Thanks for the OXO shout out too my friend... Please can you give my kindest regards to your good lady wife and family... And also pass on my best wishes to Bob too Andy... Many thanks for the video guys... It's very much appreciated... All the very best... Enjoy the rest of your weekend guys... And come on England!... Oh wow!... Now that's a real shock and surprise to me Andy... Having Bread & Butter with your Chilli Con Carne mate!... I'd have thought you would've had it with a Garlic Bread Baguette instead mate... 😋🥖 But it all looked very nice indeed my friend... And although the slow cooker liner... Actually held up quite well... The slight spillage could've been due to either the wooden spoon catching the bottom of the liner when you mixed everything together at the start... Or perhaps by the metal spoon you used to add and mix in the Flour... When you decided to thicken up your Chilli Con Carne mate... Who knows... But i think that the slow cooker liner performed quite well here my friend... One sheet of kitchen towel would've easily cleaned up the tiny amount of spillage in the bottom of your slow cooker mate... So i would actually class the slow cooker liner as a success here really Andy. By the way mate... Have you have any luck getting a hold of the Asda Really Creamy Salted Caramel Ice Cream yet?... I have still been unable to get the ice-cream from Asda. However my wife has tried the one I got from Lidl and she loves it. As I'm typing this she has just given me some to try. It does taste great, I'll get her more from Lidl when she runs out but I will be getting her the Asda one at some point. Oh scampi on offer 😁. If you’re going to use a liner, why don’t you just mix everything in the liner from the very start?
