How did you manage to do the wiper effects as if they just wiped
@JamessModellingChannel199219 күн бұрын
@fifesimracerguy455 Thanks for watching, I used masking tape cut in the direction of the wipers, then applied the dust effects.

Looks good, actually great for brush painting! I’m about to camouflage mine, although I primed it similar to your color and I think it makes it look more menacing. Tempted to leave mine dark too.

@asdf9890 Thanks for watching. To be honest go with what you like more and would be happy with. 👍

Lot of fun to be had with these old kits.
@JamessModellingChannel199226 күн бұрын
I would imagine it would be quite nostalgic for people to build the old kits. You could make a diorama out of this one.
@ploppysonofploppy606626 күн бұрын
@@JamessModellingChannel1992 Yep I was building this one in the 1970s. What I don't like is the panel lining on new kits. Way too deep. Easier to add the excellent after market parts out there now, to an old classic like this.

Very well done. It´s a fantastic plane. T 55 - 11 and 22 (navy) versions were used in Chilean Air force from 1950´s until 80´s. It was the first jet plane that flew, leaving behind Texan AT 6 and P 47´s. Do you know if there is a 1/48 scale available somewere? I´m looking for one. Congrats and regards from Santiago.
@JamessModellingChannel1992Ай бұрын
Hi thank you for watching, I'm not sure you can get a 1/48 T.11, but Airfix FB.5/FB.9 - F.3 - Trumpeter do a 1/48 FB.9 - Classic Airframes do a FB.5. Hope this helps.

Nice work James . this is a difficult kit to make partly due to it's sheer size and lack of engineering . I am building the Hobby 2000 ; box of the Academy kit . I think it may have better plastic . It originally came in an early version based in In India and China .The best part of that is you can paint it camo colours ; Olive drab and Neutral gray . I would say you would be better off using Tamiya extra thin cement and the Revell glue Contacta for jobs were you need it to stay wet longer and set slower .
@JamessModellingChannel1992Ай бұрын
Hi Anthony, Yes, I agree because of its large size. The wings and fuselage can be difficult to glue together, especially the fuselage with the interior parts. Thanks for watching. 👍

How much added weight did you add to the nose? The instructions don’t specify how much is needed
@JamessModellingChannel19923 ай бұрын
Hi, I'm not sure the exact amount, but I think it was the 2g weight shot. i used four, so about 8g altogether. I hope this helps a little.

Nice model, I am half way assembled with the same kit. Some of the pieces on and around the gearbox are fiddly. Have you painted and weathered the model yet?
@JamessModellingChannel19924 ай бұрын
Hi Andy, Yes it's fiddly but a very nice representation of the halftrack. I have painted and lightly weathered it I'm planning on trying to get it finished this year hopefully and put it up on my channel. Thank you for watching. 👍
