It’s a great little toy for those of us who are already in the Leica system. I got one, I like it. Will be great when juggling the little ones through cities, much better photo’s than the iPhone.

I understand the color purity, But that is not natural to make a given item false coloring. Especially if it happens to be wood the color is never the same.

Also depending on what club your in specifically the walls, you can bounce a flash off the walls/ceilings or put it straight up with a dome diffuser flash has saved me so many times

Bottom strap mount definitely a great idea. The 28mm seems more usable for me. I tried the 40 for 6 months. Struggled with it so went back to the 28. What beautiful countryside ! Best comparison video I’ve seen on the Ricohs. Nice one 👍🏻

So this only works with these exact same pieces of gear correct? I have a canon R6 and a canon speedlight. I want to add a second flash but I’m not sure what exactly I need. Do I have to buy a second canon flash or can I save money and buy a Godox and still have both connect? Does that mean I’ll need to buy another set of triggers?

It will balance but you cannot synchronize any of the dials and camera functions with the gimbal. You will only be able to use the joystick on the gimbal to pan or move up or down.

Field of view equivalent to 28.8-80 not 24-70 I’m afraid. Shame it doesn’t go wider. It’s a decent lens, though and means I can use the R7 as a smaller walk around option, as well as with long telephotos.

I mean if you want to get hyper-technically-correct, there is no "RF-S" mount, only RF-S _lenses_. The mount is just "RF" regardless of whether you have a full frame or crop sensor. This is different from EF and EF-S which were in fact two different mounts. EF-S mount could mount EF glass, but not vice versa. RF mount on the other hand can mount both RF and RF-S glass, regardless of sensor size. On full-frame bodies, mounting an RF-S lens will automatically make the camera switch into crop mode to avoid capturing the vignette due to the crop-format image circle. This Sigma DC DN is a crop-format lens with an RF mount, so full-frame bodies would switch into crop mode the same as for RF-S lenses. Technically though it's not an RF-S lens because that is a Canon format designation, and it doesn't have an RF-S mount because there is no such thing. The spirit of your point remains though: it is a crop format lens. We are all looking forward to Sigma potentially releasing full-frame DG DN lenses for RF mount in the future.

This lens works even in full frame. I've tested with my Zve1 and if you apply 1.2 crop you get a fantastic 13-24 f2.8 in full frame
