I tried Linux. Bricked itself in the first few days. All I did was install the NVIDIA drivers, install OBS, MultiMC and Java, played for a bit, then went to bed. I wake up, and it’s bricked. I had to go get my Windows NVMe to boot into anything. I’ve learned not to touch it anymore, like a beat dog. This was in 2023, and I doubt it’s changed in any meaningful ways enough to make that worth it. Also I don’t think Parsec works on Linux which is a dealbreaker, not to mention the complexity of even doing simple stuff compared to Windows, and all of the software that just doesn’t exist. TL;DR: I tried, and even if it HAD worked, it’s not an option. The thing about Windows bloat… I kinda need that bloat. I don’t have time to go over what’s missing vs what’s still there, all I need to do here is disable updates. Don’t need any drastic changes.

I said in the video that I heard the machine screaming, so it went and turned on the monitor. That’s the only power button I hit lol, and when the video came on, it was doing update crap. It’s a server machine because it runs servers, a web server and some other stuff. Yes I have tried to disable updates. After this video, I actually went into the services panel thing and disabled Windows update, but idk if that’s gonna fix this problem.

@ The “latest” stable Betacraft is v1. I’m using a v2 alpha here which hasn’t been updated since June of last year, which you can download via GitHub. Don’t worry though, you don’t have to built it yourself or whatever lol

bro i got a question, some apps require apple id even after their instalation, it appears on the screen when you try to open the app, im wondering, have you might found a solution to it? i dont know if you do talk about that topic in the video, i cant watch it rn sadly im busy

The solution is to find either a version of the IPA file that doesn’t ask for that after install, or by installing the Apple ID’d IPA through iTunes version 12.6.5.3 and sign in with whatever Apple ID it’s wanting, and then “authorize this computer”, then install it onto the device. The only ways I’ve found. I’ve been looking for solutions to this as well.

It always did that upon first turning on. Just how it’s been. Eventually it corrected itself. I actually had the GF60 with the barn doors, I think it came with that, but yea the GX10 didn’t for me lol I shouldn’t have to set a white balance when a camera is set to auto.. that’s kinda dumb, but maybe actually true. We have the R5C and R6II now, as well as a Lumix S5II that we might sell off. The R5C has a bunch of manual crap you have to set which really pissed me off, since it’s the only “camera they sell with a fucking fan”. All the other cameras in the R line overheat an hour into recording or less. The R8 didn’t even last 25 minutes! The R6II at least lasts about an hour. The R5C also just EATS battery and has a mono mic which also pissed me off. If they made a modern GX10, none this would have been needed. I hope they do as some point! This is an excellent camcorder, it’s just almost a decade old. This was way longer than I intended sorry XD
