omg i remember how people argued if this is a good cover because she didn’t hit the same high notes even tho she just did her own thing. it’s quite interesting that nowadays sabrina uses her soft and light sound (which you can hear sometimes here too) more than her belts. i used to associate that beltier sound with sabrina. i adore soft vocals btw and she‘s thriving, i just hope people know she can do this too.

I love Sabrina Carpenter because she is so original and she makes things her own. Ariana has a soft, sweet soprano head voice; and Sabrina has a strong, loud deep/alto chest voice. In my opinion, Sabrina and Ariana’s voices could not be any more different; but I like that Sabrina did not mimic Ariana (because in reality nobody really can.) Sabrina took on the challenge; God Is A Woman is a very hard song to sing; and very few can sing it. Sabrina sang it well and I respect her integrity.

Sabrina can actually hit some Ariana's notes... Even though Sabrina is mezzo-soprano and Ariana is soprano. In this song Sabrina sings as herself.
