Nice! This is an ASL That video, which I know you've done a lot of. What's the difference between the two channels? I'm not sure if you're responding to comments. Thanks!

I read something where these deaf teenage boys were talking to a deaf teenage girl. And he signed to her "whats your weight?" And didn't know why he looked offended. Until his friend showed him the correct sign for name. LOL. It was cute

I have taught ASL for 25 years and I know that there are regional differences, but I was taught that there is a conceptual difference between the adjective "LUCKY" and the noun #LUCK (a fingerspelled loan sign). You might say that someone is "LUCKY" and you may wish someone GOOD #LUCK, but you wouldn't sign "GOOD LUCKY". Am I wrong?

Thank you! So many people sign “Oregon” like “Washington with an O”. It’s not.

Please update first part #1. this as this is exclusive and discriminates against Trans and non-binary individuals. We can't assume gender based on their appearance. We can identify their gender only if they are out about their identity. Also we don't use the term "sex" to describe their gender anymore. Thank youl.

For Mississippi you would spell out the entire thing
@natty3224 жыл бұрын
And for Montana you would sign a bit higher and with the palms facing a bit more out because in the video it makes it look like you are signing museum instead
@reinabravo81422 жыл бұрын
@@natty322 some people would sign it low or upper, it depends on context you're talking about. Also Mississippi is complicated to spell, shorter is Miss, again it is all based on the context. People will understand you if you both are talking about states and you said Miss.

I thought Maine was the f-shape on the left side of the chest. This is shown in your 1st edition of the 50 states. I thought Pittsburgh was the f-shape on the right side of the chest. I mix these 2 signs up.
@CraySockBroski4 жыл бұрын
No. Repeated on the left chest means fraternity. Pittsburgh is the same as volunteer (right chest, pinch shirt.) Profit/Benefit is the hand going straight down on the right side. Maine and fraternity are the same sign, same motion, but different sides. That's why he made 2nd edition. :)
@splehcar4 жыл бұрын
???? Could’ve swore the Sign for Maine is the one for Pittsburgh, PA. 🤷🏻♀️ Source: am Deaf in California
@chunkymilk24104 жыл бұрын
Im in an asl class in Pittsburgh right now actually and although im not positive right now, i think pittsburgh is when you do that hand motion on the far side of your chest and maine is when you do it closer to your signing hand
@chunkymilk24104 жыл бұрын
Please dont take my comment as fact though thats a guess haha
@TexDeafy2 жыл бұрын
Maine is a “F” that go down and Pittsburgh is a “F” that go up.
