What this guy did is waste his time building something that was actually useless and couldn't be used cause he put it on a weak frame so yeah if your bored like this guy and you want to build this buy an ebike something cheap but durable and then do this and don't be this guy who purposely wasted everyone else's time by having us watch him waste his own time building useless stupid piece of shit that doesn't do the goddamn thing it was fucking suppose to.

I'm on my sixth build now, I'm still working with 350-750w motors and little 36-48v batteries. The biggest problem I have is sourcing parts on the cheap. I love watching these vids for inspiration and to see what I'm working toward. Thanks for the upload.

Nice work, very "cyber-looking". You should go with LED beam lights though. 7:50 - That's generally the symbol for daytime running lights (DRL). Low-beam is a reflector with down-pointing rays (always green), high-beam is the blue reflector with horizontal rays.

Are the multiple wires from the bms on both positive and negative just to spread the amps over 4 wires ? Is it best to solder them like you did in different places along the mains pos and neg area of the 72v battery or does it not matter ?
@GaiusGarage
@GaiusGarage 21 күн бұрын
@@cajab7407 yeah it's just to distribute the amps over several smaller wires vs. using a very think wire - generally you would do this to make it more flexible and easier to solder. if you have the option it's better to spread out where they're soldered

Hey gainus garage guy, I love your work, best diy yet, I am new at this e-bike world, I bought two , me and my wife, ecell and aventon, , BUT I just bought a city coco, fabulous frame for this kind of project, it has a 2000 watt motor, I want to make it fast, like your bike, but I don’t know how !!!!!
@GaiusGarage
@GaiusGarage 21 күн бұрын
@@randyturley5594 appreciate the kind words! I'm not familiar with bike you mentioned but it may be difficult to get too much more speed & power out of a 2kW motor (or many commercial ebikes for that matter). More of them use fairly low power components that will be damaged if you swap something like the controller out for a more powerful one. if you want something similar to the bike in this video it's best to go DIY or do a conversion from scratch. that way you can choose the right components as needed. but I would avoid an aluminum frame like I've done here

@@jamiemac4377 it's all good. Just a matter of how hot they get which depends on how much they're stressed. so far they barely even heat up when riding. if I really push the bike hard, the motor is the limiting factor and will begin to overheat well before the battery pack

@@GaiusGarage I'm new to the electric motorbike conversion so you have the electric motor top rpm and match the gearing sprocket ratio to get top speed ? Eg wattage is the torque = BHP, and Rpm is the top speed factors to consider

I say bravo on knowing when NOT to go faster, as that drivetrain would've definitely gone as fast as the bike 'could' handle. I keep envisioning the thing catastrophically disassembling itself, in a few keys areas that you did account for buuut its still only a bicycle. Theres a reason motorcycles are heavier and chunkier. Cool project though! Very nice design work and it came out looking better than alot of commercially made ebikes before they moved to batts in bike frame.

I have a question. does a battery pack need the circuit board, IF on each "charging" each cell is removed and individually charged, to the same compacity. Then allowed to rest. And the position in the pack is rotated for each use?

Man I hit the ground very unexpectedly due to mechanical failure at about 35 40 , don't assume it will be ok , I was out of commission for a third of the year and another third the best I was doing was walking .... Wear gear brothers , wear gear . And I mean real gear not your trusty Carhartt, I blew right through 2 pair and 2 pair of under armour and still blew my knee up and that was just smacking hard and unexpected at like 40 , I start to sweat thinking about any faster then that . Don't mess around and wear the gear people

I must have missed something here. The hall board had some pretty small TO-92 halls that do not appear long enough to get close to the rotors diameter (where the magnets focus their energy). Was there a second magnet source?
