good series so far, it is useful to know memory+cpu speeds & multipliers as they do need one another, which i know is obvious, but more so than people realise, especially if new to it all as it can be a large rabbit hole to go down.

Thank you! This has been a problem for years. I've had several old BellSouth emails for over 25 years, and once in a while, one of them stops working in Outlook. I recall setting up a Passkey for one of them years ago, but when this problem popped up again last week, I couldn't remember how to do it. I made the mistake of calling the AT&T help line, and those idiots have no idea what's going on. Of course, the fact that they are probably in the Philippines didn't help. The first rep thought that I needed help in resetting my password, even though I had explained that this wasn't the problem. After 3 requests, I finally got a "supervisor". He wasn't any better. After I told him that I could log into my email account at the att site, but that I couldn't get Outlook to work with it anymore, he first told me that Outlook wasn't their responsibility, but that he would "try to help me". He told me to delete that account from Outlook and reinstall it. I informed him that if I did that, it would also delete the tens of thousands of emails I had on my hard drive from that account. HE told me, "They aren't on your hard drive; they're on the cloud". I informed him that, no - I kept mine stored on my hard drive. I turned into a pissing war and he eventually hung up on me. I was then reminded of why I had "fired" AT&T all those years ago, in the first place. And for those who claim "this fix doesn't work any more", I just did this today - 01-05-2024! It worked fine!

I don't see you removing the thermal paste from the CPU except at 8 minutes. Is that a thorough enough cleaning? I've never replaced a CPU cooler so not sure what the standart is.

I have a similar model - and oh is this CPU trash (i5-4590t. Why did they have to get the low power version?!). I was hoping to upgrade mg 1×8GB stick to 2×8GB (16GB) of RAM to take advantage of dual channel which I heard helps speed up communication with the CPU. I'm going to be using some SODIMM RAM from an old Dell laptop of mine. I was wondering what screwhead and size should be used? Im a budget baller, and strippings screws is not something I wanna risk. (My dad would be pissed if I messed something up with the PC, lol.)

How did you reset the tv back to factory settings? I'm hoping the tv screen will come back on. I have found a post that said - unplug and hold down the power button ON the tv for 15 seconds, do this 3 times, wait 5 minutes then plug it back in. Nothing happened except I feel like I was being punked. lol Any suggestions? Your video was so thorough.

Hi there, I'm beginning to have problems with windows 7 and I really must upgrade to windows 10, lots of my programs won't even work with windows 7 and now Prime wants me to update google chrome else I can't watch any more movies. I have an old desktop computer with lots of disk space left so by following your instructions it should work but here's the problem, I'm afraid of failing the upgrade, will I have to upgrade google chrome first then windows 7 to windows 10 or the other way around. This is scary stuff for me but I'm willing to follow your advice, you seem to know what you are doing and I thank you for helping us with this. Also do you know how long we will be using windows 10 before MSoft stops updating it? Thanks for your help, it's very clear what you are saying. Also is there any way I can backup my computer completely, network, wifi the whole bit and if the upgrade fails I can always use the backup of windows 7 and reload it I think?
@MichaelTheComputerGuy2 ай бұрын
There's a lot of questions in there so I apologize if I miss something. This process upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 for free It does still work. Windows 10 is set to end its updates in late 2025. The upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 is off so free. If you have an older computer Microsoft doesn't allow the update but it still can be done. Look up a program called Rufus. Typically if the update to Windows 10 fails you get your Windows 7 back. That being said it is a good idea to back up everything. Look into cloning software like acronis or macrium reflect.
@dianelap672 ай бұрын
@@MichaelTheComputerGuy Thank you for your quick reply, I know I ask a lot of questions sorry for that, I will look into the Rufus program to see what it's all about. I've still using windows 7 but it's beginning to act very strangely and I know I have to upgrade and fast. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks again for your help, lots of us out here need it.

I dont think it works anymore if the source drive is from other brand than Samsung because the "Migration tool" dont exist anymore and have change name to "magic..something and it doesnt support other brands so you need another software + the adapter now. If I am wrong please let me know.
@MichaelTheComputerGuy2 ай бұрын
The migration software was moved into the magician software. I haven't noticed it work any differently with non Samsung drives so far. That being said most solid state drive manufacturers offer a cloning tool for free that you download from their support website. If you do a Google search for the manufacturer of the solid state drive you have and the words cloning software you should find the free version of the cloney software in one of the first results on Google. You can use that software to clone data from your current drive to the new solid state drive.

You are so organized, it’s amazing… not to mentions you didn’t discharged your static and are not using a discharge wrist band, you have a bunch of static around it and you keep scratching the motherboard with the screws and the screw driver…. 😂 and I love how ou placed the motherboard on top of all the screw drivers 😂😂😂😂😂 and then to top it off you placed the whole motherboard on top of the GPU 😂😂😂😂

Never use the stock thermal paste on a cooler. Most of them are essentially glue quality and they will bond to your CPU, making it difficult to upgrade later (if you need to). Wipe it off and use another brand thermal paste like Arctic or Thermal Grizzly
