Wokeness 2024 gaying it up. Lambert's outfit is so distracting I wouldn't pay a penny to go. He's a decent actor so maybe he can make people ignore it.

A total shambles of a productioni misdirected by Rebecca Freknall who appears to have zero understanding of 1930s Berlin and the source material of this work - Goodbye to Berlin and Mr Norris Changes Trains by Christoper Isherwood.
@SaveThatMoney4119 күн бұрын
lol what? Can you please elaborate? I thought it was splendid btw. Christopher Isherwood also didn't like the original production...

Seeing this in person at City Center a few days ago, I cannot express how brilliant this production. I saw the original, which has always remained one of the best scores and orchestrations ever written.

She's getting really terrible reviews. Her voice isn't strong enough for broadway

She’s amazing! She went to Carnagie Melon which is one of the best schools for musical theatre. She basically sounds like a Disney princess. She’s well suited for Broadway

@@kittykatsanchezRespectfully, I disagree. Her tone sounds really pretty and her vocal control is good… she doesn’t need powerhouse vocals if her character isn’t needing to belt. A “strong voice” isn’t always universal or needed for every role in a play.
@larryconnors61617 ай бұрын
@@avec.ariette I agree she isn’t belting all the time in the original song ether, and I really like the softness she gives the character I think it fits so well, because she is a hungry girl who’s forced to be tough in Oder to eat I like the softness here because it shows that while she is strong it’s because she was forced to be

@ariemacherie from a technical point of view, yes her voice is weak. By far, the weakest voice I've ever heard in this role. I'm not saying it doesn't sound good, but the role does require stronger vocals than what she's giving because there are some parts that traditionally, have been belted
