20 years old and sounds like they playing it this minute. Phenomenal musicianship from the lot of them. Can't ask for more than these blokes.

I was lucky to be in band with the modest and unassuming Pete Zorn for a very short time. We also both depped in another band together a few times. On zero rehearsal he would listen to a song for about four bars, choose his instrument and join in with a perfect performance. A fine talent much missed

I've seen RT tons of times, and it is hard to keep them all straight, but I'm pretty sure I was at this show. The recording is every bit as amazing as I remember the show being. Thompson is a national treasure in both the U.S. and the U.K. -- maybe a global treasure is a better way think of him.

At 15 my guitar teacher said, we are not going to play today. I want you to listen to this album. It was "Shoot out the lights". I realized the possibilities. I also realized, anyone that turns you on to RT is a real friend. Thank you Greg Rosenberg!

Richard, you might just very well be the worlds finest guitarist. Joe Bonamassa, Gary Moore, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai are some that come to mind. Your voice is second to none. God you move me. Please come back to Santa Cruz

He's the greatest triple-threat the world has ever known. I'd adore him if he could only play guitar that way, only write songs that way, or only sing that way, but it's almost absurd for one person to have written so many incredible songs, have such an expressive voice, and be a guitar talent on a level that is hard to comprehend or even describe.

What a valuable guy to have in a band. The dude could play any instrument and add great harmony vocals too. RT knew how to pick great bandmates. "Tear-Stained Letter" is Zorn's co-starring showcase.

Desperately good. Zorn is all things Celtic, to fill any empty space with stringed or voiced harmony. The drummer: impossible to find one that good, but here he is. The bassist invisible, laying down planks any tune could stand or walk on. Thompson playing Viking skies out of an electric while singing with a yeoman's voice Shakespeare's dancing feet. Good enough for tonight. Thanks for putting this up.
@dougaigner3258 Жыл бұрын
The drummer is Earl Harvin, a truly great, unsung drummer... he gets lost in Michael Jerome's shadow among Thompson enthusiasts these days, but he was phenomenal on this tour.
