Thank You Sir for posting. Most of the other posts use the plug in light bulb which is fairly basic. I unscrewed the barrel thinking the bulb holder would come out the top but was unsuccessful. searched yt and finally found yours and quickly realized it had to go out the back. of course the most expensive duracell batteries leaked again 3 years before their eos date (and ya the batteries were out of the same package with the same eos date)...amazing how they have everyone fooled they have the best batteries (I guess expensive advertising pays off)... Thanks again, you the man.....

I've had mine for over 4 years. Still works great! I charged it last about a year ago. It still had full charge. I tested it and charged my phone and tablet. I'm going to charge the power bank again, and I know it's reliable for coming travels. Edit: I do not use this regularly. I carry it for emergencyies, when I'm hiking or traveling, but don't always need to use it.

My installers put a vent on one side and the clean out on the other.. You have to leave a vent uncovered for it to work.. From the numerous videos out there on this subject, there appears to be no standard.. I personally think it's a poor design to eliminate the additional drain line in favor of a float.. We never had one clog in 22 years, and since this new system was installed, it has clogged twice in just over one year. With my old system, I would have had water in the garage, with this set up, the system shuts completely off and I have to go unclog the line to get A/C working again.. And it always happens in the middle of the night. With my system being in the attic, it's a real pain to have to go up there and clear the issue, installing one of the flush out type things isn't an option for me because it drains into a drain downstairs and I would have to take a hose upstairs and risk water leaking all over the place, making matters worse.

I thought of this too, but it will leak. I have this problem on a boat trailer. Needs to be sealed. I may try to use a cone and a hammer to try to widen it a bit

Let me add another thumbs up for this video. I too had a working AC that wouldn't blow out of the vents, even though the Heat would blow out the vents. After finding this video and watching it I figured that was my problem. My doghouse and engine cover on my 1999 Astro van were slightly different than shown in the video, but I still got them off. The covers are VERY tight to the space and I was never able to get the engine cover all the way out. Plus the nipple of the vac hose is VERY awkward to reach, but it's doable and it is in the location he indicates. I was hoping that I'd find a broken or disconnected tube as he did, but instead I found a completely intact hard plastic tube and two intact rubber l-shaped nipples. Crestfallen, I thought I had not found the problem. I snipped them about two inches from each end and tested them underwater. It looked good, but I replaced it anyway using a much smaller hose than the one he uses in the video. It worked. I'm not sure why, the other one must have had some unseen leaks somewhere, maybe at the nipples? I dunno, all I can say is if you have this problem, replace the whole hose.

Hello, I would like to ask a honest question because I’m new at this. Using staybrite 8 silver solder will hold the pressure of any refrigerant in Hvacc jobs ? Have you had any problems? And the reason I ask, is because is easier to work with this material than using silver rods 15 % silver and I want to make my journey as smooth as possible 😅 Thanks man

If one is doing mechanic "homework" (not for a living) Pittsburg tools are fine. Ratchets and breaker bars are fine, just buy the heavier impact sockets to use with them. The torque wrenches are the best deal. Take care of them and just take them back when they wear out, they are just as accurate as "some" high dollar tools and will often last the "home only" user a lifetime with genuinely useable accuracy. If I made my living and fed my kids using tools like these, I might be pickier, but I don't. 90% of the time a brand like Pittsburg will do the home mechanic like me just fine, and often for a lifetime. There will be exceptions, but exceptions are rare, that's why they are called exceptions. I just wish every company would make bulletproof screwdrivers. Well actually, I just wish EVERYTHING would instantly convert to Allen or Torx drive lol. They wear out but not like flathead or Phillips do.

I have one of these. Because of the way it takes temperature you will never get the accuracy of direct physical contact. Hey, I bought it because it was cheap, I'm a gadget freak and It works great for checking cooking surfaces on the barbeque and the laser is great if you have cats😅 When I was a kid I saw this cartoon of a meteorologist sitting in his office surrounded by computers, charts, communication equipment and at the same time........he had his big toe sticking out the window.😊

I know I’m going to sound like an old mother hen here, but finger puncture wounds that are seemingly minor can turn into a serious infection very rapidly. I know this from experience. I got a small puncture wound from a rose bush thorn. Didn’t hurt when it happened and very little blood so I ignored it and continued working. After about a hour, my entire hand swelled up like a balloon and looked cartoonish. Went to emergency room and saw a hand specialist. Had to get admitted and put on a high dosage antibiotic IV to counter the real possibility of sepsis. Everything turned out OK after a few days in hospital. Lesson for me is don’t ignore those “minor” puncture wounds!

I'm so glad my A/C unit is in my garage. If it leaks (and it has many times), it will not damage my house. Everything is easy to get to. I can easily disconnect the pipe and use the pressure from my water hose to clean it out. What you just did would never work for me. Putting the A/C in the attic is just so stupid.

Changed the oil on a 2015 honda civic recently. The oil filter wasn't on super tight after all, but is located on the underside of the engine and surrounded by other components so hard to get to. Tried an oil filter wrench which just slipped when I applied torque. This filter wrench style got it off very easily. Thanks for the video.
