I saw John Tenta in the old Willowbrook Cinemas in Langley, BC, way back in the late 90s. He was an absolute mountain of a man, probably the largest human I've ever seen. He was with his wife who was a tiny little Japanese lady and the two of them made quite a hilarious pair. I just waved and said "hey Earthquake!" and he smiled and waved back.

I could see word getting to Tenta that Kitao didn't want to lose because he was a better sumo wrestler, Tenta being a high-level armature wrestler decided to show him how useful sumo is in the ring.

Highly doubtful that anyone was worried about him going around saying its fake , je would've been well aware that a couple lads with missing fingers would remove his head and other identifiable body parts if he was stupid enough to try saying anything like that 😂

Kitao said he was going to shoot on Tenta before the match so Tenta went in to defend himself. You guys did no research on this?

I want to imagine Mark with a "Tenta Shot First" t-shirt now. This said, if anything can unite a fractured and divided wrestling fanbase it's the love of John Tenta. You could put up a poster of Koji Kitao between bickering AEW and WWE fans and they'd stop immediately to boo the late Kitao and unite in their mutual hate of the man who tried to fuck around and find out with Tenta.

You may be right, Tenta may ne the bad guy in this case but i think it is just some Karma payback for this Koji, who you say was am ass. Tenta was an instrument of Karma here and that makes him an even better guy in my opinion. Canadian Hero.

Kitao did get screwed in the UFC though, they stopped his match in under a minute because he got his nose broken, never seen that stop a match before or since. He wasn't good at MMA anyway; sumo wrestlers never are.
