I never liked that Lydia tried to break the deal she made. You agreed to marry Beetlejuice if he saved the Maitlands and he did, then the first thing she does when he comes to collect is try and banish him. Hell the first thing the Maitlands attempt after Beetlejuice rescues them from the botched exorcism is try and get rid of the person that saved them from "death for the dead", talk about ungrateful. The good guys seems like the bad guys in this scene honestly.

Just found out the preacher was all time short funny great actor Tony Cox. From Bad Santa, Friday and other movies

The cast was absolutely STACKED in this film. First you have Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin with Davis being an Oscar winner and Baldwin a nominee, who make the cute and likable Maitland couple. Then you have Winona Ryder (also an Oscar nominee) as the Goth Lydia who gives the movie a great sense of dry and witty humor and Catherine O'Hara (Emmy winner) whose great physical comedy was perfect for the eccentric and hysterical Delia. But to bring it all together we got the absolutely hilarious and wild antics of Michael Keaton (Oscar nominee) as the impish, caddish, delightfully wicked man himself, Beetlejuice. If you can believe it, Keaton only appears on screen for 17 minutes in the 92 minute film, less than a quarter of its length; his presence is so hilarious and entertaining that he makes the largest impression. All of this with the wonderful directing of Tim Burton just made this an absolute banger of a film.

Why did Barbara muster up so energy to belt it once, then leave a long enough delay for Beetlejuice to react? And then Lydia, too, was able to speak for the longest time.
