@trainsbyben my favorite location is in Boston at main street. With the siding they frequently stop there.

Have you tried catching a train east of quitman at langboard? A bridge goes over the tracks. Looking east towards Valdosta you might see the old hwy bridge

Thats the Savannah Areat Port Terminal Railroad (SAPT) with the GC power. They run 3 round trips a day from the Savannah Yard (about a qaurter mile south of the station) and the port.

Thanks, we couldn't get close enough to see what the engines were. We did see several at a yard close to that location.

Now it's my turn to thank you for the shout-out. Thank you and it was good to meet y'all. By the way, I read your description and the museum is actually a county history museum, but they got plenty of train related stuff inside plus a large O scale operatable train layout. I filmed it over a year ago, so I'll post it on my channel soon. Also, the next time you go to Cairo, be sure to check out the wide vision caboose on display between the buildings behind the Mr. Chick restaurant on US 84. If you call Mr. Chick in advance, you can set up a tour of that and the antique cars that are housed in one of those buildings. I know they got a Model T in there. Have fun out along the rails and may we meet again someday.

If you want to video trains all you have to do is let me go drive up on the church property where we attend and you will hear the NS trains blowing just down the street. Happens on Wednesdays and Sundays every time! LOL
