I heard when you macerate (let the cut or diced strawberries sit with a sweetener, even the alternatives) for like 30 mins on the countertop or fridge it helps draw out those juices and really makes the flavors sing. Everything else the same, just mix as usual after. I saw this one short and the juice/syrup just looked soo red and the lady implied it REALLY makes a difference in making it taste more "strawberry"-y
