My kicks that use highpass filter resonance are always inconsistent. Is this just a quirk of the A4 or am I doing something wrong? It seems to be worse the lower the frequency of the filter is set to.

Nice! Deep, dark and mysterious 👌🏼 How do you split the Subharmonicon 3 ways? I'm guessing either a mixer or a eurorack mult? Also, how do you have the fx chain set up on the Octatrack? A thru machine on track 1, then neighbour machine on tracks 2-4? I got an OT mk1 recently and am loving it. Such a versatile tool!

If u use values of 32,64 or 96 for the phase of a lfo shape... Your always going to be at 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4 of the shapes phase. They tend to be the most useful & rhythmically accurate points of a shapes phases to use... Especially with bpm synchronised lfo rates & speeds. Thanx for the video & rytm tips, it's great to know how others find ways to work with Elektron gear.

For creating pitch or frequency mod ramps/sweeps for perc/drum sounds. Elektrons are great for this when using a lfo or 2 to do the job, really well. Just experiment with the saw or ramp lfo shape, & make sure u set the lfo to retrigger, & use the One or Half lfo trigger mode. U can create sweeps that ramp properly tuned pitchs of drum sounds this way... Your drum patterns & sounds can be in tuning for the key of your song or track... They can also be swept syncing with BPM as well. I was using tricks like this for many yrs beforehand with Electribes or good iOS audio apps for drums. When I moved on to Elektrons, I finally had the tools that could really get & give the most from this lfo tip. It works on any Elektrons for making better drum sounds... That are tight for your bpm & tuned with the key of your music too.

I use an LFO on the BASE filter to make the ducking effect, is there any benefit to using volume instead?

Nice one! How do you keep the noise from coma reactor under control?
@SecretMusicUK Жыл бұрын
Hi ! I really take it as it is, with the noise and all, so I don't necessarily try to keep it under control, i do play with the final level of it a lot on my mixer so i can bring it up when i need to, sort of a "manual gate" of sorts :)
