Jormungander = no extra deck toolbox cards. No S:P, no Chaos Angel, no Constellar Pleiades. Machine archetypes really lack generic machine links that cydra can utilize effectively. And the poly search…. Why??? Why can’t it just be a searcher for Core? Or better yet, act as a walking Cyber Repair Plant. I’d love to be able to search Union Driver off of this card and go in for some ABC plays, but we can’t make cydra good. It’s too popular of a deck. It’ll keep people from buying our much better, much more expressive archetypes, and we’ll loose out on money, so we’ll make the support mediocre and dissuade them from consistently playing it. I remember what they did to dragon link. Underwhelming to say the least.

You’re right, machine really does lack generic machine links. The clockwork knight coming out is nice, but that’s only a searcher for clockwork night. We really need something better. Ideally getting something to search a “fusion” card or power bond would’ve been nice. Hell even something to search machine dupe
