Funny part is the US navy of the 80's would be even more effective than todays. Not because todays is inferior. But because stealth would mean virtually nothing. Prowlers, f18's and f14's carry far more ordinance than f35's. Sure not as accurate. But lets be honest, it wouldn't exactly be an issue. We can discuss how an f22 is superior in every way to an f15 with an 80's loadout. But im not sure any of those advantages matter much if your the poor fool in a bf 109 lol

WTF, those are highly inaccurate CIWS against slow moving targets. Also, at most 3 20mm hits from a CIWS may be enough to destroy a 1940s plane, ims seeing a whole stream before a plane is downed.

Bad simulation, the modern Air Force would decimate German positions while also dropping tanks behind the front lines, guaranteeing the destruction of any German Army that doesn't run or outright surrender. Like, we could literally achieve air superiority before our ships get within bombardment range

World war 2 military technology of japan is useless now if american modern navy time travelled to that year. The battleship's accuracy cannon is bad at very long range fight but the modern navy just chilling and launching missiles continuously
