Of course, technically, you can even fine-tune SDXL without training the text encoder with L4, which has 24 GB of VRAM. I'm probably going to make a video about it

It's not as much because all the environment stuff already takes up about 10 -15 GB! But 15 gigs on Colab is already something, like 64 GB in a base iPhone.

It was an issue before. Colab's RAM is not enough. It seems to me that you were just quite lucky.

I had a few errors: ERROR: pip's dependency resolver does not currently take into account all the packages that are installed. This behaviour is the source of the following dependency conflicts. spacy 3.7.4 requires typer<0.10.0,>=0.3.0, but you have typer 0.12.3 which is incompatible. torchtext 0.18.0 requires torch>=2.3.0, but you have torch 2.0.1+cu118 which is incompatible. weasel 0.3.4 requires typer<0.10.0,>=0.3.0, but you have typer 0.12.3 which is incompatible. But it seems, those can be ignored. Then I got an error when attempting to upload a file: "UnidentifiedImageError: cannot identify image file" Had to resave the file as png and it was accepted... after throwing some session errors (one was "No interface is running right now"), which I fixed by restarting the last cell only and uploading the image again.
