Is there a discord to join? Im re-installing D1 on my xbox 360 for the nostalgia trip. Excited to get back into it, i managed to play a sliver of D2 but it just didn’t feel quite the same. But i probably will return to D2 at somepoint.

Destiny 1 i put an incredibly amount of hours in for years, D2 though i just couldn't get along with it the same and honestly only played it the first month it was out, haven't touched it since despite being free to download..although to get most contents you need the dlcs as usual.

Been playing Destiny 1 on Xbox 360 over the past week despite frame rate and pacing issues plus no Year 3 content it's impressive Bungie got it to work on 7th gen consoles, bought the Taken King Collector's Edition on the store before it's shut down on July 29th, 2024 and installed everything needed to run the game. Felt like going back and playing it again after a months long stint on Xbox One last year of playing D1 for nostalgia sake after playing a ton on PS4 during it's 2014-2017 live support run before D2 released, might buy the PS3 version on the PS Store and play it there too.

i remember playing on 360 up til 2019. surprised people are still on playing! glad to see it though :)

The sound effects are so much better in D1, just realising on the Daughters fight how much more sound is going on, it sounds amazing, it's like the daughters chant is in your head, it's also a specific sound that no other hive wizard makes, which is what it seems to be in the D2 version of the raid. Very nostalgic ☺ glad this popped up in my suggested Awesome run of the raid 🔥🔥

Something about destiny 1’s art style gave you a very post apocalyptic mysterious feel Like there was more to the world than meets the eye It gave more to the world building with its attention to detail While I think d2’s graphics are better however it’s kind of more upbeat than giving you an futuristic apocalypse feel Even the characters a lot of the time don’t even seem to take too many threats seriously considering they have to add in a quip every single mission. I still remember when we speculated that the nine were actually a group of surviving warminds I miss those times

I might have to go back to d1 for a little bit

I really hope that the next expansion finally allows the Tower to stop being under seemingly unending reconstruction.

It feels like Destiny 1 cared more about the fact that we were in space. Like woah, you're on the moon dude! But D2? it's just the moon, who cares.

You should set up some lfgs and post it to YT doing weekly raids, strikes and possibly crucible.

That explains why I always felt depressed playing D2 on XSX. Ever since I went back to D1, I actually enjoy playing again. I dont even mind the 30 fps. Im used to it already. Endless strikes and raids. No crucible unfortunately. Takes forever to find a match but when you do, its always the same guys holding on to what once was.

I love how in D2 the sky is completely black.. to indicate that the darkness is closing in on Sol, as if there was nothing else left outside our solar system
