Tony ( million corpses ) Blair knew perfectly well there was no WMD in iraq. But he's a poisonous little reptile so he went in anyway.

Funny, almost, that the same things happen over and over again. I remember the Conservatives were a shambles, much like now, and labour couldn't lose the election.

Robin cook was my local mp and in 1996 i was in primary school (mid calder) and i can remember being kinda in awe that at that time shadow home secretary was there. I grew up in care and i can remember the iraq war and his stance in parliament and he was echoing what i believed. I had a friend who died in iraq whom grew up with me. Obviously the home was a recruiting ground for the army. Not a day goes by that I don't think about that and i tell my kids now to not be disillusioned by politics because if his voice had been heard or he'd visited my my friends james school that day, my friend may have been here and not me or my two children. Sliding doors huh we all have them.

John Major is one of those forgotten PM’s that never get mentioned by anyone. He was just your typical sit on the fence, dull, nothing special PM. Still the 1990’s was so much better than today.

Tony Blair was such a good orator. Incredible compared to what we have today (surprising as well given Keir's background).

That is why Blair won a landslide, and kept such a high regard. He was pointing in this debate, but even his “thist” or “Clinton thumb” bridges the gap of authority and eloquence…

Cottaging - Anthony Charles Lynton Blair (Tony Blair, former PM of the UK) (too old to reply) Jacob Von Hogflume 11 years ago Permalink 'He was charged and appeared in court at Bow Street Magistrates Court for importunity in a public toilet with another male. He tried to get sexual favour from the other man; little did he know that the toilet was being watched by police. Blair was fined £500, and walked away with nobody knowing who he really was as he used his middle names to cover who he was. Charles Lynton is the name used, and his friends in court got him off with a fine, because he is one of them.'
