the biggest danger on the street as a newcomer is the other homeless , theres a lot of scumbag homeless people out there , that they known to the housing sector and cant even fit back in to the community /their behaviour never changes even though they have had endless flats ,

I had an illegal lobotomy by our caring "stars." It completely destroyed "Kaela." I am not "Kaela." I'm taking over this place, and I enjoy a nice walk. Eventually, there will be ethics regarding changing people. It's quite offensive. It has confused Kaela's family.

The gentleman who was told that ECT patients are less likely to develop Alzheimer's or dementia than people with depression has a doctor willing to flat out lie to her patient. As of June 2019, Not one single study has EVER tracked longitudinal cognitive outcomes among ECT patients. But I guess his doctor did say "there was no evidence ever." Let's just remind everyone that absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

ECT has basically saved my life. The side effects of suicide are a lot worse than the side effects of ECT. But like most things, ECT is not for everyone. For some people, it is ineffective. For some the side effects are unacceptable. And for some, is means the difference between life and death.

And for many, memory loss, -- the loss of one's education and career, the loss of one's connection to family and friends, the loss of one's ability to do simple tasks in life -- is just too much. They choose suicide because of the unbearable consequences of ECT induced brain damage. I wouldn't dispute that a strong jolt of electricity through the brain could stop the immediate threat of a person bent on suicide. But to tout it as a solution to suicide is a very myopic view.

I guess you could also make the point that the side effects of surgical lobotomy are better than suicide, but I don't see anything unhealthy about the thought that I'd rather be dead than suffer from severe brain damage at the hands of "treatment".

Considering #ECT has absolutely no standardized operating procedures regarding the method of administration technique, you're one lucky winner of medical Russian Roulette. Your doctor should petition to use their method of administration as an international SOP. It's unlikely anyone else will have the exact same outcome you did unless they get the exact same doctor. Please keep that in mind before encouraging someone to get it. Not all ECT was created equal.

I had horrible results from Shock Therapy. Terrible headaches and permanent memory loss. Filled with terror before each “treatment.” They literally induce a brain coma, and you’d suffer from possible fractures if they didn’t put you out

The social security is a joke. You are better off begging on the streets and being homeless than farting around with those idiots who push you from pillar to post and give you every stupid excuse under the sun why you can’t have money to live on yet they give money to fraudulent foreign tosses to waste on crap

I've had amazing results with ECT, it's saved my life. There was never any drooling or bad headaches after treatment. Yes the short term memory is affected but I also started recalling childhood memories that I had no recollection of before which I found healing. I have heard that you're more prone to developing Dementia by untreated depression. Lastly, I've done a lot of work on myself I.e. Psychotherapy, and educating myself by reading up on how trauma in my childhood had affected my mental health.

You are the first person who says this after twenty years of helping poor buggers who have been tortured by Government mental health therapies such as ECT.Did you get evaluated at the beginning for nutrient deficiencies , environmental factors or proper psychological consideration that could have lead to your mental health problems ?

I agree I don't think antidepressants are the answer we need more social clubs where people with mental health problems can meet up. I’m anti psychiatry and think that most of the illnesses in the DSM are pseudoscience. To be a real disease there has to be a biological test or pathology. If someone has schizophrenia, ADHD, conduct disorder, depression etc there is no biological test so it would be insane to treat them with neuro-pharmacology. A real disease like AIDS, Cancer, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, Leukaemia, Diabetes etc all have a medical test or are confirmed at autopsy. Most of the so called illnesses in the DSM are voted into existence by the American Psychiatric Association, none are discovered in the laboratory. In fact most mental illnesses are diagnosed through an interview. Can you imagine a normal doctor giving someone insulin, chemotherapy, drugs to treat cancer etc on the basis of an interview? If I'm going to have chemotherapy or be put on a life long drug treatment plan then I want a test to prove it especially when neuro-pharmacology for mental illness causes liver, kidney damage and other problems. We think psychiatry is a form of social control to funnel everybody into the constraints of the economic system. In other words they don't want to change your social environment so they force you to accept it change yourself via medication and treatment. Any thoughts?
