You should only turn shutter speed dial clockwise on the old cameeras. Also to rewind film you have to push in release button next to wind lever before using rewind crank. Seen quite a few first time film users tearing their film for not pressing this button.

The french revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race
@arthurgames96106 ай бұрын
The French Revolution only came to happen because french nobles were not actual ARISTOCRATS any more (ἄριστος = superlative of ᾰ̓γᾰθός: good, brave, noble, moral).

Do you have to put batteries in this camera? If yes, which ones and where do you put them in? I just bought one and can’t find it anywhere
@avtomat1110 ай бұрын
This particular one requires no batteries at all. Newer models like the MTL-50 (shown at 06:43 ), or the VLC series need batteries, and their battery compartments are at the bottom of the camera body.

I disagree with the subtext message in the whole. In French revolution only 40.000 ppl were executed in a country of 28 Mio inhabitants - that is nothing! That implies only 1 out of 700 ppl is affected. The black death laughts about that with a rate of 1 out of 3. So the black death was 235 times deadlier as the French Revolution. And in total numbers killed of 28 Mio that equals the whole of France. Just to give more context. In the first ww1 20 Mio died in ww2 50 Mio died. WW1 500x more ppl died WW2 1250x more ppl died Revolutions were always exeggerated in history cause who is writing it? The elites with the privileges! And ordinary ppl let fool themselves and are afraid of change. If a revolution is threatened from outside war will break out cause the elites of other nations are in fear. But a revolution itself is far less bloody as wars, pest or natural desasters. And the incredible gifts of the French Revolution enables all our comfortable life's the whole human evolution to this point wouldnt have taken place. Most of us are blissfully ignorant that they would have been never born without the greatest event in European history. Add: sure ppl dying due violence is bad but there should be context to break up the lies

The French Revolution has a complex legacy, on the one hand terror, on the other human rights, you have to judge each aspect individually, you can't simply accept or deny the whole of the Revolution. Not to mention that treating human lives as just numbers on paper to be added and subtracted is highly immoral.
@MichaTheLight Жыл бұрын
@@nevezetesazonossag then insurances are als highly immoral cause they don't only calculate this numbers they earn their living with it. The whole point of my message was to set revolutions into context, that's only possible due numbers. Yes their are situations in which the costs of lofty ideals are to high. The whole point of my statement was that they (revolutions) are better as their reputation. And that the gained improvements far outweight the invested life's and passion.

@@nevezetesazonossag Without disrespect but you arguing on a base of nativity revolutions occur bc a system is oppressive, violent a d murders ppl. This system has no hesitation to do so, so it is necessary to reply adequately we aren't in fantasy land we are in a harsh material world. A revolution or a good cause must be able to defend itself the important point is that this process is structured, has rules and orders so that descent in chaos or even terror is avoided. Bc I guess you are referring to terror like Robiespierre had done.

Thank's Avtomat, I remember reading this book while serving in the 8th ID (Mech) during the mid 80's outside Mainz, West Germany. Hearing the audio version is a real enjoyable flash back. It's a good story told from the other prospective but kinda of on the short side, that ends fast, still I listen to it over and over. There another one " Red Storm Rising " that's truly outstanding if you like these kind of stories 😎.

my grandad recently gave me this camera! so does the iso/asa automatically adjust? as there is no way to change it..
@avtomat114 жыл бұрын
Hi! ISO/ASA is a characteristic of the specific type of film you've put into the camera. It cannot be changed on the fly like on digital SLRs. There are plenty of great videos that explain all the concepts you need to understand to use these analogue cameras. Here's a good explanation of film ISO: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYStoKannJuqd5Y and of aperature and shutter control: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHm4m6FuqdmEiK8 Now, this Praktica is a rather old piece of kit and it does not have an internal lightmeter which makes it trickier to use than more modern SLRs. Thankfully you can get lightmeters for peanuts, or you can apply the "Sunny 16" rule. Ask your grandfather about this stuff too! I'm sure he still remembers some of it, and it makes for good conversation. Good luck and have fun!

@Plexxer233 жыл бұрын
Hi, you search for the "Sunny 16 - Rule" to make photos without a lightmeter :-) The standard setting you can take is with daylight and not fast moving objects Setting : aperture on the objective : 8 and shutter-speed 125... That´s the point you can go up and down because of the light, sharpness in the front or back, slow or fast objects... greetings and everytime nice pictures from germany Tobias😉😊
