Rosana, the center of the picture or mirror should be lined up with the center of your face. You can fudge it up or down a bit as needed, but rule of thumb is to center the piece with the center of your face/ eye level ❤ I actually think the new spot where you out the mirror was perfect. Also that couch is massive, consider adding a huge beautiful painting over the top. You could always group your set of 3 flower pics in a smaller space, or use them seasonally.

The 3 pictures are still way too high, hang them at eye level anything you hang.

Your art should be about 60" from the floor or the middle of it should be eye level for you. If you're hanging above a sofa it should be at least 3" from top of your sofa and should t cover more than 60% off your wall ideally. Also when you're hanging sets like that the spacing should be closer since you want it to look like a set and not just random. I'd say 3" apart at most. Enjoy your new space

I would leave mirror a where u have it now if u put a floral arrangement it’s perfect

I think you should put the sofa by the window and the rest of the sectional on the wall where you have the sectional it would open the entrance to the kitchen ok.

I think the mirror can go a couple more inches lower and then you can also put a picture light right above it to fill in the space if it feels too empty for you. A picture light is a great option for these moments and it will also provide more mood lighting!

For future reference the bottom of your pictures should be 8-10 inches above top of couch. After years of making decorating errors I’m have learned. We have all been there.

I was always told that when you hang things on the wall it should be at your eye level unless your real short it should be eye level for an average height person

Art, mirrors, anything hung on the wall - the middle should be eye level for the average height person standing in front of it. So think 5 ft 6 to 5 ft 10. Most people hang things way too high so don’t worry too much, just bring it all down. Your mirror looks like it needs to come down 8-12 inches. I am leaving this comment at the beginning of your video so not sure what you did yet. If you’re hanging multiple things at varying heights then you take the middle of the hanging. Hope that makes sense? Love seeing your work though and getting inspiration!

According to what I found online, your mirror should be 57-65 inches from the floor or 6-8 inches from the top of the console table. Your home is absolutely lovely. You don’t have to do everything at once. Take your time, forget trends and do what you love. I agree with you about curtains. It would hide the trim you put up. Depending on what’s outside your window, you could do cafe curtains, woven blinds, or leave them the way they are. Happy decorating!

Believe it or not, your mirror and pictures above the couch are still too high. Lower them some more. You'll be surprised how much better it would look. By the way, you have a lovely home.

I think the mirror is definitely too high... but it also is out of scale with the small little console table. I would keep my eye out at thrift shops or garage sales for a small dresser with drawers. The mirror needs a heavier piece under it for balance. As for the sofa pictures... although very pretty, they also seem out of scale for the big sofa. Either three larger botanical prints, or just a larger piece of art. Adding the window trim is a fantastic upgrade to any room. I always trim windows and doorways . I agree with you, curtains would defeat the purpose of the clean lines of the trim. Also I could see a nice low dresser or heavy console table in front of the window with a nice chunky lamp, books, maybe a vase with stems, framed family photos. I am such a thrifter that these things are so affordable. I just found my entry console and hanging iron pendant light at The Restore Store/ Habitat for Humanity for only $55.00 total for both pieces.! I must say you did an incredible styling job on the little console. The large rattan vase with stems and the tray of candles totally gave more balance and weight between it and the mirror. Then incorporating wicker on the coffee table gives the room a cohesive look. Nicely done. Even the way you staggered whites and wicker and books and brass on the tall shelf was really well thought out. You got this girl!!!!

Just came across your channel! Your home is beautiful. In my humble opinion you may what to consider shifting your focus more on the scale of your decor. Imagine if you place a larger sized mirror at the height you want. It would make a drastic difference. Also the 3 pics over the couch if you used larger pics it would definitely give you the look you’re looking for… hope this helps 😊

When hanging wall decor it should be at the eye level., mirrors can also be left seating on the console specifically if it’s tall, that way u don’t nail the walls.another way is to mark it with tape then where ur sure that’s the level u like it n want it then put the decor…

This tip might help you when hanging decor. My husbands aunt used to be an interior designer. I used to hang things to high. It’s funny that he was the one to tell me that. He said decor needs to be eye level, so that your eye follows around the room and not up to draw your eye to see cobwebs ( which I didn’t have, but you can get the meaning lol) also she would say to to divide you wall into thirds from the top to bottom, the middle section is where you want your decor. Pictures above a sofa should be 8 -10” above the back of your sofa. Mirror should be 6-8” from the top of your console table. I know some people have a hard time with this. I’m a design consultant and have been doing this for years so I’m used to it and love it lowered. Your shelf unit looks very pretty. I don’t think I would add curtains to your windows. Blinds or roller shades are nice with many to choose from now. I like the color of the new flooring you are looking at. It will warm up the room nicely. However your home is lovely and it is your home so you should do whatever makes you happy.

The mirror must be same high as your TV. Your 3 picture should be same high as your display cabinet.
