I hate how this scene was in the book but not the movie, I feel the same about in mocking jay part 2 in the book peeta decorates Finnick and Annie’s wedding cake but in the movie there’s no cake at all, it would have been really good for the story to have

Finnick even calls attention to her distrust by instructing her to look at his hands rather than his face, because the audience is intrigued and WANTS to see him tie the knot.

Didn’t Finnick, Johanna and Chafe all kinda make a pact to mess with Katniss during training since she was this “pure” naive girl? Johanna strips naked in front of her, Chafe randomly kisses her and then we have this scene and the sugar cube scene with Finnick. I just think it’s hilarious that essentially there was this prank going on to see who could mess with Katniss the most 😂

This is a powerful scene, especially if you already know Finnick’s story. It’s more than just a cute/flirty/funny scene. It shows the result of someone who was sexualized as a child who now no longer understands intimate personal boundaries. It would’ve spoken volumes if they kept it in.
