The math and roll ranges have not changed since abyssal mods were introduced, so the concepts I teach in it still fully apply.

As per the point I try to make in this video, it all depends on what you want. If you want something absolute top tier cost be damned, the unstable is the way to go. But if you are looking for moderate or affordable upgrades, then gravid is what you want. I have even done a lot of rolling with decayed on compact meta mods to get cheap sub-compact fitting on things like MWDs, webs, scrams, etc. Just understand what you want, and figure out if it is achievable and within your personal risk/cost acceptance.

If you are only looking for super high end modules by rolling faction and deadspace and hoping for all green then yes. But the main point I try to get across (and have had success with myself) is that getting something like a meta ab with 10%more speed, or a t2 scram with 500m more range is relatively calculable and reasonable to get.

I mean that is a simple one to figure out. For t1 production you can check the cost of the minerals needed to produce the item and the installation cost of the manufacturing order, and compare that to the going rate of the finished ship. For simplicity though I have personally opted to just sell the BPCs on contract.

You can get all good attributes. Each modified attribute is an independent roll, so the results for say, cap usage, has no effect on the roll for cpu. For the purposes of this video I talk about having a stat to sacrifice as you are much more likely to get 2 good 1 bad than all 3 good.

@@christiansessler1072 Yup, you can modify any variant of a module except one that are already abyssal. So there are some crazy good abyssal officer mods floating around, like webs with 21km range.
