I thought the movie was good but not great. Having said that I can't think of a movie where the world actually ends, that alone makes this movie essential viewing.

I have no idea what movie this is but you nailed the syncing up. This my favorite Metallica song so I revisit it often.. nice to find some new take on it even after all these years. And incase anyone questioned, lol I saw them with Cliff in dive bars in Baltimore & DC. So yes with all their history, this is still my personal favorite. :)

Why did God create the world? Immensity. Fragility. Perishable. It is nothing more than a human invention, time cannot be more false and abstract. The maths? Another purely human invention resulting from our desire for order, to control everything. Why don't we understand anything? We really believe we know what we know: how will we know that our knowledge is real if there is no one to confirm it other than ourselves? Why did life occur on Earth? Is it due to determinism or simple chance? Or maybe... God... Life. Metaphysics. Death. Is life just energy? Is it just the insatiable need for entropy to distribute energy? Energy is only transformed, spilled, lost in increasingly simpler and smaller processes... Is it then that nothing really dies? Life is a multitude of energetic and chemical processes, but how can something so complex be what life needs to exist? Maybe... God... Plenty. Lazy. Melarchy. Why did God create the world? How could he create something as infinitely large as the universe? And why did God leave us infinitely alone there? Why would God create such complex, curious and intelligent creatures if we can't do anything about it? If not it's the end. What kind of experiment are we?

This is 2024, I watch this about once a week just so I can remember that we are in fact at the end. ;(

I cried as I watched this. The panic and fear off set by the music of Beethoven as the world ended. This is the last thing i want to hear as my world ends and i close my eyes for the last time
