um.. I have to say...if you search all the sax players playing the Anthem on youtube...this kid is probably in the top 3..compared to all the professional players. I kid you not. They rush, over blow, go flat, get too fancy or not enough. This kid nailed it. He plays just loud enough, has great pitch, ads lib just enough and has nice vibrato. Really impressive.

He is real talent so for those of y’all saying he doing too much or puffing his cheeks out or whatever, y’all gotta remember he was a kid when he did this. You gotta start somewhere and now he doing things with Wynton Marsalis. I’m very proud of him and his progress! It’s only gonna get better and he continues to shine! As a saxophonist I see the appeal of adding some notes, but a good way to check yourself is skip to a random part of a recording of you playing, and if you can’t recognize the song right away, it means too much has been added. National anthem especially, that’s the song of America and I don’t think it should be changed at all really. Singers will add some intonations but not new notes.
