I think the exterior shots as when he’s talking to his neighbor is one of the bungalows at 607 or 609 Venezia - the interior shots were filmed across the street I think…

The house that they used in the original 1976 film adaptation of Carrie was in fact, a real house, but for when they burned the house down, they built a replica of the house. It is not known why the real house was actually in fact, torn down, but I think I heard somewhere that it was basically decaying and everything

I hate when old pubs and places get turned into apartments. It’s happening here in Australia. I’m not the drinker I once was, but I do love the odd drink in an old pub with character. Sadly the traditional boozer we all grew up in is making way for flash apartments and cafes.

@@mondoloco7661 withnail is my all time favourite film and the film I’ve watched the most . I only recently noticed at the very end that he actually doesn’t follow the path which is a great metaphor and made me wonder if he did it on purpose. After that I found the end strangely moving. Thank you for finding the bench I intend to go and find it myself. Perhaps chuck in a bit of Shakespeare 🥰🙏🏽😊

@@quintonbroster2994 Yes it is an amazing film and one of my favourites too, and I rather even noticed the walk off the path. Great idea about it being a metaphor. I like that a lot. I hope to go to a few more Withnail locations soon. I have a video going to their flat, the pub, and get in the back of the van area, but Id love to go to Penerith with is actually close to Milton Keynes I think

The interchange where Withnail got pulled over and refused the breath test, I always assumed was Staples Corner flyover as you see highway markings on the road saying A406 (Nth Circular Rd) and M1 (main trunk rd heading North out of London. Those 2 major roads do meet at Staples corner but the location you show clearly is the Westway so, thanks for clearing that up.
