This design is so bad. There’s a bolt directly in the center attached right above the firewall that works too. Right below the windshield.
@kimdobranski41378 ай бұрын
This is terrible advice. There is a bolt just next to the positive terminal that goes into the body of the vehicle. You can nicely attach a negative right there it goes directly to the battery. Don't believe everything you hear on the internet

No dose not work
@rustler086 ай бұрын
As stated in the description this is the specific method from the manual, but there are various points that can be used as a ground. That being said, not all grounding points are equivalent, if it's insufficient then you will struggle to jumpstart a very dead battery. Like you said: "don't believe everything you read on the internet."
@YasuOsatoku9 ай бұрын
thanks, I am on Acura 2009 mdx, was having a hard time looking for that ground point...didn't know I could open that engine case...i'm new to vehicles haha thanks again
@jordanmp62710 ай бұрын
This car is so stupid. A portable jump starter can’t use that ground.

Can you also use engine hook to connect wall charger on negative clamp?
@rustler08 Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can.
@tajdvl-advocate6113 Жыл бұрын
Great video. So easy when you know where to find a superior location to attach the negative return of either a wall charger or jump cables.
@Arun-goes-ARunning Жыл бұрын
Good video. It does help. But man, what a design flaw. You can't use portable jumpstarters cause cables are too short.
@padronopusx64602 ай бұрын
You can use traditional jumper cables to extend the reach of the shorter cables.
@WheelsRCoolАй бұрын
You can use the portable ones, but you have to connect the black one to one of the nearby bolts. But yes, still a stupid design.

Ok, this video just saved me from buying a bunch of brake bleed tools that I don't need. For some reason my Magura MT7 levers do not have that square knob to adjust, but has a set screw in there. Never saw it before. I literally just went out to the garage, adjusted the set screw and watched the lever move out from the bar and did a test ride. Fixed, no bleed necessary. So thankful here. Cheers...

Bro you just saved me some time. I was about to bleed these brakes right before I saw your video. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏

Same here. My MT7 doesn't have that square knob on the end. There is a set screw internal that I just now adjusted... works perfect.

I have the yellow one 😃 what do you think about yours? Amazing quality 🤘🔥
@rustler083 жыл бұрын
I have that one as well (the Lite). I love both of them, the design is so clever and the quality is great. This one is great because not only is it just three steps (put on both legs and lower the end), it's also so mild in the lowest position that any new rider can use it without feeling terrified. You can also pair this one with the Lite, as the downslope ramp, if you're practicing jumps and don't feel like continuously hucking to flat.

Is it normal for the lever to be push out like that @1:17, mine have a tab that blocks it.
@rustler083 жыл бұрын
The tabs are made of poor-quality metal, so if they catch on something just right they'll eventually break off. It doesn't affect braking in any way, it just lets it swing out farther if you push it.
@Nox6652 жыл бұрын
@@rustler08 What do you mean poor-quality metal. They are made of Aluminum. What do you want them made of, Boron Steel?

HOW about BAT Knob Explanation ??? i have a MTS Magura LOOKS Identical to the MT7 i thurn the BAT and ALL Positions Feel the Same . What Gives Rustler08
@PhilKawasaki3 жыл бұрын
Break away tension, if you screw it one way the lever will move backwards while turned the other way the lever won’t bend back but rely on the little tab of metal that snaps off, even when it’s allowed to move back it will still snap the tab if over extended… hope this helps
@Markle_B3 жыл бұрын
Can’t you just stick a blob of glue on the screw head so it stick to the plastic?

Man I would literally kiss you right now!!! Bled the MT7 like 10 times. Was going crazy! Didn’t know what else to do! Them came across your vid and maaaaan..... worked perfectly. They feel like they should. Thank you so much!! So helpful!!

Glad to hear it helped. I was also annoyed to have to bleed so many times with poor results, so I had to make a video when I figured it out.

Worked for me thanks, what a crap adjustment knob. I nearly went shigura but these feel like a non-woody XT.
@rustler083 жыл бұрын
My girlfriend's bike is running Shimano XT and I'm running these, and I definitely prefer the way these feel. I just wish they had come up with a better design overall, especially because these like to change positions while riding.
@alimantado3733 жыл бұрын
Didnt work on mine. My reach adjust nob is not threaded, but found this, kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJ2bgXaeh8aXjpI at 3:42 The Tip about adjusting each piston worked for me without bleeding.
@rustler083 жыл бұрын
That's a decent video for bleeding, though what do you mean that your knob is not threaded? Do you have the allen-key adjuster?
@dukeofmtb3 жыл бұрын
@@rustler08 Thanks! 😅 That's all I ever have to do after cutting my lines on a fresh set. Just lever bleed. Kinda the same idea behind the Shimano funnel bleed, but better. Turns out there's an easier way to adjust a single piston. Just put a flat screwdriver behind the pad that has a bigger gap than the rest. Then push the pad against the rotor firmly and give the lever a few pulls to allow the piston to push out further. Viola! Done. Much easier than removing the retaining bolt, the pad, and all that jazz. You could easily do it trailside with a multi tool in seconds, and it's only something that comes up when your pads are severely worn anyway.
