Nice video, and it looks like a great plane. I'm curious about how much room there is for mounting an engine. I am considering it for my Saito FA 100T twin cylinder 4 stroke glow engine. Hangar 9 does not show any pictures in the add of under the cowl. Merry Christmas 🎅

To be honest I really don't know, I've only have Electric, the cowl doesn't seem all that big. Thank you for watching.

Mine was tail heavy by the plans as well, ended up with a 4S 3200 all the way forward. I cut a slit on the bottom of the booms and pushed in a 2mm carbon fiber rod to stiffen up the tails as I was loosing some elevator effectiveness during a pull up from a loop. Fun airplane besides the nose gear steering. Good video.

This happened on my maiden flight. I was long and hot. Tried to execute a go around. Gear came right off. I sent it back to Horizon and they replaced it. I don't know how to make sure it doesn't happen again. Such a fragile construction! Any suggestions?

I used epoxy on my repair, also put epoxy on the two little carbon fiber rods within the gear assembly. Haven't had any problems since.

Need a gyro to make YV work great. Needs an extreme aft CG which is unflyable without a guro

Comes as No surprise. Typical Cinderella Glass Slipper E Flite landing gear. E Flite airplanes fly so well, but across the board, their landing gear absolutely Sucks. I do have the Big Timber X, but had to replace the entire landing gear with Real Buch Plane landing gear from the Avios Grand Tundra. Now I have a real bush plane. One that lands on rough dirt roads, just like a Bush Plane should.

Which battery are you using and position on the tray? I think i have it really close with a 5A battery centered on the tray. This bird fly's really nice big air maneuvers and lands easy after CG is dialed in.

I usually use either a 4000 or 3300 6s to the front of the tray.

@@waynesrc1958 OK, my 4000 hangs over the front a little and it passes the inverted 45 degree upline perfectly in that position. I just wanted to compare locations, we're pretty close. Tomorrow might be the last warm day for flying here is SC. I'll bring out the Pitts and Extra and fly the pants off those birds.

FYI, your audio is really low. You have to turn up the tv a lot to hear you. Great flight . Check you audio settings. Always enjoy watching your maidens. 👍🏻

Small planes are tough to follow with old eyes. Half of the warbird experience is the proper internal combustion engines.
