Ds lite has the best battery life, you can use slot1 and slot2 flashcarts at the same time, if you use omega slot2 wont come out. Also you can use mini usb instead of propeitary charger, that will give you the ability to use 5v phone charger and powerbanks. Lite is the best for me for ds line and old3ds for 3ds line
