What we hear is the original not your guitar. For main riff you switch for power chords between 1st and 4th string, thats an octave higher- we would hear it

I'm not sure what you mean about the main riff but the start, yes I did start a few seconds later. I couldn't find a backing track so I had to play over the original song.
