for the number of 12, why does the answer is b sir? if the answer is B wasn't it will be double verb?
@EnglishwithArfiyan
@EnglishwithArfiyan 8 күн бұрын
Ok here is the explanation: Subject: The subject of the main clause is "whether or not an object floats", which is a noun clause. Verb: The verb of the main clause is "depends", which is a singular verb agreeing with the singular noun clause subject.
@seruniiwardanyy9824

@ wasn't floats is also a verb?
@EnglishwithArfiyan
@EnglishwithArfiyan 8 күн бұрын
@@seruniiwardanyy9824 'floats' belongs to noun clause, acting as the subject'. Perhaps you need to understand noun cause first. The main verb is surely 'depends'. In bahasa you can translate it into: Apakah benda mengapung atau tidak bergantung pada kepadatan dari benda tsb dan air. the subject is 'Apakah benda mengapung atau tidak'. that's called noun clause, consisting of S+V, and that's not a question, ya. The verb is bergantung (depends).

2(B). Benar. Untuk dianggap sebagai parliamentary system (to be considered a parliamentary system), …. remember, consider tidak memerlukan ‘as’ ya. 4(B) Benar. Di kalimat itu menggunakan present simple tense dengan klausa utama "a base reacts". Yang digunakan karena untuk menggambarkan a chemical reaction. "salt and sometimes water" merupakan subject Tunggal karena mengacu pada hasil reaksi kimia sebagai single reaction, sehingga menggunakan verb “is”. 12(B) Benar. Di awal kalimat ada kata Not, maka itu adalah negative expression yang polanya adalah V+S. 13(C) Benar. Her merupakan Margaret Mead. Jangan hiraukan assistants karena dia bukan subject utama. Jadi memang kualitas soal ini sangat mendekati ITP ya .. jadi terus perluas wawasan grammarnya dengan soal-soal baru.

@EnglishwithArfiyan
@EnglishwithArfiyan 13 күн бұрын
No, "considered" does not need "as" in this context. The verb "consider" is typically followed by a direct object and does not require "as" to connect the subject to its complement. The word "as" is redundant and ungrammatical when used with "considered" in this way.

Hallo kak saya agak bingung untuk nomor 34. Saya pilih alive karena saya pikir alive baru bisa muncul setelah ada linking verb.
@EnglishwithArfiyan
@EnglishwithArfiyan 28 күн бұрын
Oke.

"most closely" is incorrect because it is not the proper form to describe the relative position of electrons to the nucleus. "closest" is the correct superlative adjective to indicate the electrons nearest to the nucleus.

*#35 Based on the text, "The newspaper said" makes C) From the newspaper the most logical answer. If the test insists that it is B) From a discussion, it is likely aiming to assess a broader contextual approach, but it seems to go against the direct textual evidence.*

He said '"I was reading last night's paper ..... " he said "paper" not newspaper. So paper means discussion of a problem, that's why the answer is B. paper is not the same as newspaper. Definition of 'paper' from Cambridge Dictionary: a short piece of writing on a particular subject, especially one done by students as part of the work for a course. So, that's a discussion of a particular topic.

@@EnglishwithArfiyan Here is the full conversation, and I'm pointing out where it says he read it in a newspaper, because it seems you didn't pay attention. "I was reading in last night's paper that utility company wants to build a solar energy plant in the dessert nor far from here" She answers "do you thing it's a good idea? he answers "A good idea?, it's a great idea, solar energy is the energy of the future, it's clean, it's safe and it's abundant, what could be better?" She answers "won't the utility company just raise our rates to pay for this new plant?" he answers "*the newspaper said* that the utility company would need extra money to get the plant going but in the long run rates would be lower and to have a constant supply of energy, that's a small price to pay" She answers "I'm not convinced that the price will be small" At minute 18:54 he mentions it clearly.

@@alessandrolopezlopez9337 So you mean, the very first question has its answer in the middle/nearly in the end of the dialogue? I don't think so. The first question has its answer in the first sentence(s). Ok, let me show you the question: Question - "Where did the man learn about the new solar energy plant?" The keyword here is 'learn'. Where did he get it? By reading of course. From what? from a paper. "I was reading in last night's paper that ....." The word newspaper in the place you mentioned is the additional information, not the main idea of getting information about the plant building. It is about the additional budget or money to build the plant. Remember, It is listening comprehension, not literal listening. The listening mostly has synonymous answers, not direct word answers like that. If you answer like that, you will make so many mistakes.
