I saw someone on TikTok adapting a new monitor to this iMac base... Proof that this was another fantastic product from Apple.

Maybe add a year to the title so people don’t think they’re clicking on something for the 2024 iMac, otherwise a great throwback to an exciting time in Apple’s History!

I'm about to install that same line. Any tips? Was it difficult?
@bertwhetstone31737 ай бұрын
It was definitely tricky. Just take your time, don't try to force it. Wish I could remember which side I started from, I think from the passenger side since there's a bit more room over there. Good luck!

I played this obsessively on an Atari 400 in the 80s. Loved it so much. Wonderful memories. Playing it all over again now after 40 years on a C64 maxi, Atari 400 mini and an Evercade VS!! 😊

Love nolindor's work. Amazing inspiration. It is because of him and a few other's i learned i have a love for logic design. And started building my own 4 bit computers. I say computer because they are turing complete. It can save its results for use later and modify its results based on its stored information. This is my most complex yet with over 6500 parts. And about 3000 autoswitches and inverters. It is compsed of 1 decimal to binary converter, 3 DBC, 2 memory banks (red & geen), 2 registers input (white) output (purple), 4/11 programmable memory, 1 program counter, 4bit alu (4-bit ripple carry adder and subtracter), 3 seven segment displays. All tied into bytebeats for expressing different states the computer is in. I even made a consistent assembly language using symbols, lights, and decals, across all my computers. In this demonstration i show how to program it from scratch. A simple program that will add until it over floes then subtracts till 0. Then two different programs already stored in a kind of rom. The first adds red and green, clears red, then writes the the previous sum in its place, over and over until it overflows and subtracts back to zero. The third demonstration is program 2, it calculates the the fabanocci sequence. First foward then in reverse. Thats why this video is so long. I have other smaller computers under 3000 parts that i made video's on to. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKapo5h7fcR7raMsi=Gl1VWGYlhDLX8yA1

The thing that really stood out when I made this clip was that marijuana shop with all the broken Imgur links. Unless a user account is used to upload an image, Imgur will delete the image after about a year, so that's likely why their image links went stale. Nobody viewed their inventory for over a year! Of course it may be something else but when you're alone in the virtual wasteland looking at dead images these thoughts come to mind. It's also kind of sad at how many NFTs are on display in galleries scattered all over the place, many of which never sold. To me, looking at those images now it seems like something that happened a long time ago, not just a couple of years. Really crazy how NFT-focused Decentraland was. Remember sets of like 8,888 image variations? Crazy times!

Why aren't there any comments? We had the atari 1600 in 1980. What made the atari so great was that is was new! If we wanted to play arcade games we had to go to a mall or bar. The atari brought it into our homes! Warlords was a four-player game from the start and it was a scream.

Skimming through, thought you might be interested in this, kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJibe4mKeJqhY9k The second part goes over a BCD 7-segment display, which uses a similar layout as yours, but puts the "OR" gates on the output side, therefore not needing autoswitches, preventing delays. (takes about 1-3 seconds to change numbers)

Wow Nolindor, I checked out your videos and YOU ARE THE MAN! All of it is great but I love the Pong game. Really amazing. What I'm running into is the slowness of the switching but your designs work very quickly, when I get a chance I'll try rewiring my decoder/driver as you mention to see if I can get the speed up. I wanted to use a JK flipflop to build a counter, but ran into issues with the clock. So I'm looking forward into understanding your counter and sequencer designs. Thanks for stopping by and letting me know about your channel.

@@bertwhetstone3173 I go through the three types of counters I use in the control point video. I should note that I still have speed/stability issues with the bidirectional counter, and that it is good to have a reset switch for it. Link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5-6lqOBitSlnZI
