Nice video. I used to work in Bath and still visit regularly so I’m impressed how you managed to take pictures without a million people in the background. I usually can’t see much of a difference between old lenses and modern lenses although in this case the out of focus areas are different enough to notice. Most of my street photography is at f8-ish so I rarely expect to see a difference anyway. Have you tried the modern Voigtlander lenses, especially the Ultron lenses? They have distinctive out of focus areas and look much more vintage than their Nokton versions.

Can't rush these things Joe 🛠 I've got jobs to finish off from when my kids were little, they've left home & just had their first child 😂 If you could pop round & finish the bits off so I can go fishing, that'll be great 👍 although it's pissing down in sunny Dorset today.

Interesting and enjoyable. I am from the era before digital and I still cat get my head around how modern cameras work. I worked for May & Baker back in the 70's , they made developers along side many other chemicals Drugs, Farming, Heavy industrial. I got to do image/print, infrared, lithographic, x-ray and ultra violet and some weird stuff. I well understand exposure, light etc but you had to do it all in the camera with a little after printing so you had to know what did why done what! I look at you editing and feel its like bait boats, cheating lol, even though I am amazed at what can be done, all very different but I still think film is better as its a 'real' capture of the photons reflected of the subject and set on the films emulsion layer where as a digital camera just copy's what it see's when chops it up into 1's and 0's (I know I am old lol). I do think B&W is far better on film even with the Adobe witchcraft, but fine for screens I guess but wont cut it as prints. I used to use 5x4 and 10x8 inch plate cameras too, unbelievable detail but my day today was a Canon A1 with a 50mm f1.2 main lens.. Also as I had access to unusual 35mm film stock I got to use Infra red and UV stock very unusual images with the longer and short wavelengths of light !........ Great vid. oh is it lightroom you use? 🍐

I admit I haven't gotten through the entire video yet..will try again later. I hope you guys know how toxic Iroko is? Where it comes from in central Africa. It's even considered cursed and very bad luck to have in your house. Ive personally gotten very sick from not being careful enough with that stuff. Same goes for alot of those African hardwoods but Iroko in particular.

@NuffinbutVlogs I was wearing a dustmask while planing that stuff a few years ago.. it was a hot day and the dust stuck onto all my sweaty areas(back of my neck, sides of mask etc. I ended up with welts and swollen eyes and a cough that lasted weeks. I dont even touch that stuff anymore unless Im maybe outdoors and not doing anything very dusty. Just saying😂
