anyone can blame slayer all they want for this album with its clear influence of the newer metal wave of the late 90s and early 2000s but this song hits hard AF Lyrics are very edgy, but Tom screamed his guts out on this one and the guitars are just amazing

I'm so tired of people going "This is not thrash". Metallica hasen't been thrash since "and justice for all" and the was 1988

This is a love song. Written by the lead guitarist to his girlfriend after they lost their baby. YOURE never alone, walk with me in hell.

Lamb of God's guitarist said that Megadeth brought jazz to thrash metal. And thats pretty accurate. They just have so many levels within a single song and the guitar work is all over the place yet very masterful. They came in when the scene was starting to get a little stale and formulaic, and helped give thrash a pulse again.

I personally like Dave Mustaine's voice, but i can completely see why someone wouldn't. I've always automatically envisioned a gargoyle or little goblin of thrash behind the microphone while listening to megadeth and i just fucking dig it hahaha

Do yourself a favor and do the S&M version, the Kamen charts are better and Jason's backing vocals are stronger than Rob & Kirk's in S&M 2

A symphony orchestra is exactly what this sounds like... the movement of sound, the coordination, the low notes undertones that weave in and out from underneath the guitar riffs - all this done with "machine" like precision. I agree with you 100% on that...
