I don't blame the other 2 for leaving the band. I love Black Metal, but the pure fuckery taking place in the scene was childish and stupid. The no mosh, no core, no fun BS was equally stupid. I get what Euro was trying to do, but even he was starting to evolve on his own stupidity before Varg sadly did what he did. Just make great music and STFU about this "true cult" horseshit. Look at what Tsjuder is doing! Fully updated and clear. The latest incarnation of Mayhem is amazing. This is a huge piece of history and should be preserved. I love the big three Darkthrone albums. I wish they would re-record them like the Cavalera brothers did so we can hear them as they would be heard live. Those albums are too good to sound like they were recorded with a pine cone.

Before i heard anything about the Norwegian 2ndWv (to me ''Deathcrush'' was a distant memo of a curiosity i'd read about on mags or zines), this Finnish fellowship was what I first knew about ''a new kind of black/death metal'' coming from the North, Swedish Death Metal not included - actually not 100%, since Brazil, Canada and Switzerland/Helvetic Confederation, plus Hungary and Czechia, had been quite busy on that department in those years too. I only got hold of Beherit records in 94, and then in 99. The vinyl reissue of TOOBB, apart from quite limited, appears to be excessively expensive for only 26 mins of music so i got the cd version which is also ok; TOOBB is a mythical release, being a compilation of demos come debut album on practical terms. Anyway, the rehearsals are also quite revealing of early potential. I was positively impressed by this group's versatility, ranging from pure Satanic Horror music to electrokosmik lysergic emanations and industrial mantras from the towers in Neptune. Either case, it all has made for Beherit's enduring recognition amongst the Metal public.
