Did anyone figure out the trick because I did 40 seconds at 385 and my shirt looked like it melted some. Also used a pressing pillow and still got some press lines. Maybe it’s because I tour around the edges of my design or it’s from the tape.

My first time making this, I watched the video once and I was like," I think I know what I am doing". I sewed the triangle upside down 😂. Determined, I did it again today, and it looked nice. Thanks for sharing ☺️

There are many ways to do things... if it works, who's got the right to say anything? They look well made, so they are. Go keep having fun! As a long time sewer, the only thing I can see, is if you were doing a more acute angle, say for a plumper figure, from the crotch to the hem... fold the hem section up on the pattern before you cut it out. Cut in that position, cut that corner on the pattern too, so the lower hem will go right across when you sew your hem down. Otherwise you got it. If you left a smaller elastic opening, and back-stitch both ends, you can leave it open with no problem. If you made these in Gaberdine or drill, even more solid polyester blends, (satins work well, for pj's though more generous seam allowanges work better there. just serger width wil fray out.) you could make long or short pants to wear around the house, or casually. Fabric comes in lots of pretty colours. You could use patterned fabric as well, and "franken" put the scraps together, for some unique, one of a kind creations. Make your pattern long, then fold up the leg for other lengths... capris, cargoes, board shorts, summer shorts, summer pj's etc. Don't stifle your imagination, go for it.. pockets can be easy, so can tote bags. Book bags, cushions, library cushions with handles and a book pocket? Readers digest used to make really heavy big books about sewing, with pictures and how to learn to do it. Ask at your 2nd hand shops, maybe get them to keep one and tell you? Keep on having fun.

I have a 6 pane window. I want to put text in each pane. The area in each pane is 9" Wide x 7" high. How do I make the text so it fits on the glass? I used template of rectangle/square. I made the shape 8.75" x 6.75. Typed my text. When went to make it, it cut off the outside edge of the text, by just a little on the right side. What am I doing wrong? Should I not be using the template? Should i just type my Text, select all, then make the size i want it to fit in?

How can you be on Facebook when they ban people? I'm a grandmother and was banned long ago. They ban conservatives and anybody else who speaks the truth.

Me again! Well, it only took 11 months, but I finally got around to making one of these today. Such a quick, easy project, and a nice way to use up a bit of scrap fabric. I made this one specifically to hang from my water bottle tote (I used some of the leftover fabrics from that project), so it's a cute, matching accessory when Mr O & I walk the dogs. Thank you so much for the tutorial! PS - I tagged you on Insta if you want to see it.

Thanks for this idea/pattern! I made a couple for gifts and one for myself, and I use mine at least once every week or two. I'll probably be making more for gifts. They'd be great to add to a gift "taco kit" with all the supplies for a taco night.

I have watched many tutorials for drawstring backpacks. I have taken a little bit here and a little bit there. I like to add a 3”x 14” strip at the top instead of making the little holes for the string. I’m also making my own straps as I'm trying to be economical. Macrame cord might work well, as it wouldn’t fray as much. Just a thought, as I haven’t tried it yet. I want to say thank you for the tutorial.

I think for a beginner this would be confusing. Nothing is said about right and wrong sides together or using a zipper foot to make stitching easier. I am an experienced sewist and I was confused!
