But isn't Werner Herzog himself is a sort of psychoanalyst. "I want to know their dreams"....Bit paradoxical. I real practical psychologist's job is to cultivate a sort of strength so that we may keep moving effectively. A pseudo psychologist is impotent and is a mistake.

I love this so much. The material he chooses is interesting and personal. His interview style is genius, he seeks deep connection with his subject, not emotional or sensational but human and fundamental. He leaves space for the answer of one question to dictate his next question. I think that's why his squirrel question worked to "unravel" the Chaplin. What a beautiful man, a true listener. His films are gifts.

I love that Herzog is such a real guy. He always seems authentic and never like he's trying to be something he's not.

Wow, I had to make one more comment about what he said about the twenteth century being a mistake because of psychology. Hmmm. That is really something to think about! While I have always read and respected Freud and Jung, this really makes me think, especially since I respect him (Werner) more. Wow.He always makes me think about things I have never thought before. An incredible person!

Thank you for the video, I know very few people in this day that are as able to communicate so intelligently, filmwise and speaking like this.

@su129 Basically, there was a tribute to Werner Herzog. Here, he tell us about his first difficult steps. When nobody knew him, with no money and a little audience... Then he focus to the film that we are going to see after his speech: Invincible (2001). I hope that i help you, somehow...
